I don't even know what to say. It is absolutely ridiculous that they even have the right to just suspend him from playing tournaments like that. Not paying him salary for a month is one thing but he should always be able to play in any tournament he wants. What kind of adhesion contract did he sign there that they can just prevent him from doing that? I feel really bad for him and I am totally against the move that EG made here. It should be clear that this statement of him is just something that they forced him to say exactly like that and I think something like that should never happen. I thought at least in the western world we would be a bit further than that by now...

Is it too much to ask to have people watch what they say when there is an audience who might get offended? I think it borders on insensitive to just say things without regard for the consequences.

They seriously need have a seminar for progamers on what being in the public eye means. Yes the people who're overreacting are partly at fault, but so are the public figures. Their carelessness and stupidity is what gets them in trouble. You can't stop people from getting offended and doing what they think is warranted. You can bitch and whine all you like, but that isn't going to change. Being a celebrity is both a blessing and a curse, even if you didn't ask to be one in the first place. And progamers are celebs of the SC2 scene.

oh one other thing, if Stephano really had some balls (like the screwing 14 yo implies) he would quit the team and auction is contract.
He could have realized he did wrong and apologize, but being on a team that instead of supporting him, publicly humiliates him when he had -no miss conduct whatsoever within the team itself or in representation of that said team- is just a stab in the back.

The state I live in (Minnesota) has age of consent at 16 and close age laws that go under the age of 13. Under 13 (+36 month) 13-16 (+48 mo.) So 14 with an 18 year old can be fine.
