Kim ' Shuttle' Yoon-joong has decided to retire in order to complete his military service.
A veteran of six years, he made his decision due to the transition from Brood War to Starcraft II.
Shuttle made his debut for STX Soul in 2007. He is known as the 'Crying Toss' due to breaking down in tears after qualifying for the OSL in 2009.
With Kal leaving for ACE, he became the veteran of the Protoss group on STX. He considered applying for ACE, but with it not accepting any more recruits, he decided he would rather retire and complete his military service normally.
In a closing statement, Shuttle thanked his fans for cheering for him during his career as a progamer.

And... that's all I needed to quit BW. I had 3 pros that I followed, and this was the last one to retire.

Wow...this came out of no where. I liked his PvT style, not as much as Violet, but yeah. I guess he was getting pretty old.

Didn't know his nickname was Crying toss, but that's the first thing I think about when I see Shuttle so maybe it's a fitting nickname.

Yeah,this is an old game now but him vs Flash on Heartbreak Ridge in the GOM Intel Classic was a nail biter. And it was casted by Tasteless which was awesome back then! ^^

Man Shuttle had baller PvT. Hope to see him playing in some afreeca leagues. Better this way than fading into insignificance in sc2 imo.

I always liked Shuttle, really disappointed he didn't get much playing time near the end of his career
Hope he sticks around the scene! He had some fun games against Flash
