People lose track of the time quite often and I could see this being an honest mistake quite often, unless there's some other way they're reminded? Other than that yeah, retail is a hard and unforgiving life and im glad there's some soldiers out there willing to weather the shit storm cause i know i cant If you are so caught up in your own world that you don't realize the store is closing, I would consider that rude. This is like the person standing in line holding everyone up because he is too busy looking at his phone. I shouldn't have to tell you that the line has moved on and we're all waiting for you. IMO, just fucking pay attention. I always try to make it easy for people to serve me. Whether it be having my order ready to go at the drive-thru, collecting my own dirty plates so the waitress can pick them up without having to reach across the table and stack them herself, or doing a bit of research on products before going into the store. But then, it is a double-edged sword because it is my pet peeve when people who try to serve me seem to ignore these things that I do. So really, it's all just about being mindful of others.

It is your job to deal with this type of shit, not to go out and try and convince everyone to change just because you get QQ about it. If you don't like it quit. If you can't find another job, than that just sucks. But you know what? Life is tough, and you don't always get to be a pampered baby.

It's not just about his interaction with customers. There are other customers who suffer from some customers' inability to think about others.

I knew a post like this would pop up eventually and the person after you pretty much said what I was going to say. this isn't a whine blog. it's an education blog because some customers are legit awful without realizing it. I don't hate my job at at all, but I don't think it's out of the question for me to expect adult customers to act like, well... adults. you really missed the point with your post.
