My prediction: Stephano leaves Millenium for EG.
Millenium signs Naniwa.

I'm with him. A lot of you really are horrible people. I'm the last guy to care about BM versus GM, and threads like this are exactly the reason. I'm willing to bet a lot of the Nani hate is coming from people who get pissed off when people don't GG, and fancy themselves paragons of wisdom and placidity, unlike "that uncouth savage, Johan Lucchesi!"
Then Naniwa leaves a team on good terms and out comes their best lynchin' rope. Hypocrisy much?

This isn't his fan club thread, and we aren't required to support him. Haha, you guys can cock up anything.
Naniwa seems in good sprits, I've enjoyed a lot of his play of late, especially against DongRaeGu in the GSL. It would be awesome to see a foreigner join a Korean team, so I'm kinda hoping for him to join Protoss powerhouse StarTale. Will be exciting to see where he goes!

What a cute reply by Naniwa. I hope you play many good games and also earn some golds!

What always amuses me is that the people who bash Naniwa for being "unprofessional" (which here means refusing to shake hands or saying "zerg OP" in a game) are basically attacking every facet of his character when they post. Sounds hypocritical, no?

I'm not expecting everyone to like Naniwa, I'm asking for some semblance of dignity to proceedings, and that doesn't include an 80 page shitstorm about how horrible Naniwa is, from people who know nothing more about him than me or anyone else. And discussing where he can go is fine, but there's a difference between doing that and the flipside of same, which is to spend forever dismissing options on the assumption he's a horrible person. He might well be. He probably isn't. Most people probably aren't. But a bunch of this thread has been people BEING horrible people in the circumstance.

First off, not everyone supports whatever represents them in sports. Not all Americans cheer for America in sports. Not everyone cares if a foreigner is doing well in SC2. Some people like the Koreans because they're just so fucking good. So I won't support someone that I don't care for, especially just cause he's not Korean.
Second, lol at you telling people to change their life because you think it's stupid.
People immerse themselves in sports for many reasons. They could be pro, they could be an aspiring pro, it can be their hobby, it can be their way of forgetting about life for a day. You can't determine that only pros can put an high importance on the game. You should be re-evaluating your life if you think that only pros can be put off by actions done in something important to them.
Now, all of those are irrelevant to the topic of the thread. Naniwa left, wasn't kicked out, there is no drama. All the posts should be "GL Naniwa" but oh well nothing goes as planned here.
Either way, GL Naniwa.

Allow me to quote for you Samuel Johnson:
"Nothing is more unjust, however common, than to charge with hypocrisy him that expresses zeal for those virtues which he neglects to practice; since he may be sincerely convinced of the advantages of conquering his passions, without having yet obtained the victory, as a man may be confident of the advantages of a voyage, or a journey, without having courage or industry to undertake it, and may honestly recommend to others, those attempts which he neglects himself."

Please unfurl your panties and stop pretending to have reasonable and legitimate things to say. The mature thing to do is resist your urge to make a negative post. I can have any opinion I like, thanks. I can also express it articulately. I think the fact that Naniwa jumps from team to team in a matter of months is symptomatic of a problem with the player, rather than the teams. It speaks to a lack of loyalty and emotional/professional immaturity. Combine that with Naniwa's consistent use of BM (that stretches back to WC3 days) and I don't think it's baseless to profile Naniwa as a "caveat emptor" pickup. I'm not a drama queen but it's also foolish to bury your head in the sand and pretend everything is fine. Yes you can have your opinion but that's irrelevant. If you bring a negative opinion into a thread where it's tangential at best, and that thread is clearly a wildfire drama thread, then you're a drama queen. And no, expressing your opinion articulately does not shield you from being a drama queen. Speculation on where he'll go is pointless because as an outsider, you have no idea what you're talking about. And no, the stories you've read on the forums and on ITG and SOTG dont make you informed. Moreover negative talk about nani's personality and past is bound to fuel even more off-topic negative tangents in the thread. And yet that is also just your opinion aka irrelevant from your own logic. Are people actually saying Dood is incorrect? Seriously now. His first post was the most refreshing post ive read in months and gave me hope. You guys killed that renewed hope so fast. lol The thread is "Nani left Quantic" I didnt know it was "Shit talk Nani". Theres opinion and theres fact. The fact is this kind of posting(offtopic hate) that has become common is not beneficial in anyway. SO he asks you to refrain from such a post. Some people are sick of the ignorant one liners. I guess thats just my opinion as that sort of thing is encouraged and if anyone says something about it they get flamed. *sigh he ASKS? I think you might have missed half of the post where he goes on and on how horrible people we all are, basically preaching and then he expect everyone to be nice and shut up? Tip, if you don't wanna get into an argument, don't insult people. I'm with him. A lot of you really are horrible people. It says something when most threads I read on TL these days, are actually more negative and more filled with rage than Reddit threads. And yet you just done the same by calling a lot of you (pretending you are beyond that) and once again insulting people. Please keep on going, its amusing people preaching yet doing exactly the same.
Its not the same thing at all. Some people around here want more quality and less stupidity. Why are you so opposed to this.
You also missed his point yet again with your above post.

You don't seem to understand how logic works. Allow me to quote for you Samuel Johnson: "Nothing is more unjust, however common, than to charge with hypocrisy him that expresses zeal for those virtues which he neglects to practice; since he may be sincerely convinced of the advantages of conquering his passions, without having yet obtained the victory, as a man may be confident of the advantages of a voyage, or a journey, without having courage or industry to undertake it, and may honestly recommend to others, those attempts which he neglects himself." http://etext.lib.virginia.edu/etcbin/toccer-new2?id=Joh1Ram.sgm&images=images/modeng&data=/texts/english/modeng/parsed&tag=public&part=14&division=div1Or, more succinctly, it doesn't matter that I insulted you, its still easily verified that the message I sought to put across was reasonable. "i can insult you cause my opinion is more right then yours" Well this is rich, you fallen lower the people bashing him in the first place, at least they don't make up excuses. Well i am out, had my laugh of the night, thanks for that. Did I mention you don't appear to understand how logic works?

I think for some, "more quality" is synoymous with "people who think like I do" -- and that's dangerous. Differing opinions, even strongly differing opinions, is not a bad thing.

I think for some, "more quality" is synoymous with "people who think like I do" -- and that's dangerous. Differing opinions, even strongly differing opinions, is not a bad thing. There's very much a difference between that, and simply wanting to be able to discuss a thing without the conversation seeming like a divide between two different hiveminds, one filled with hate and malice, the other seemingly a Pollyanna.
I've no issue with the idea that Naniwa has been on a lot of teams, I have some issue with the idea that he's burned every bridge between those teams. And even if he had, those teams are businesses and its not beyond the realms of possibility that someone could be willing to give second chances. Especially since team owners are human beings like the rest of us and some of them may well share my optimism that people can change, or at the very least are willing to change.
Certainly, Naniwa has been mentioned multiple times by various scene figureheads as someone who at least tries to improve his behaviour. How far he's gotten in that endeavour is anyone's guess, but neither I nor anyone else knows, so its not the kind of thing we can really bring to this discussion as a point for either side.
But primarily, my issue is that looking through the thread, there's a bewildering lack of willingness to entertain even the slightest positive feeling about NaniwA, and that simply strikes me as the result of people with a vendetta, and I can't possibly understand why anyone thinks they have a right to be like that about someone they've never had any direct contact with.

different opinions is all nice and dandy, the problem is that people on the internet write things to each other that they never would say in real life. This is definately a problem on this forum as well as elsewhere. I honestly dont think naniwa gives a shit about people who dislike him, I however and many with me (?) are sick of all the constant hate and flame, not just towards him but in general. Theres a lot of "you fucking idiot dont you know (insert random fact about the game). GTFO bronzeplayer" in here. I doubt many of you would actually act like that in real life, so why does anyone think its warranted here? We dont have to like each other, we dont have to respect each other, but we all have to tolerate each other.
I cant help but ask along with slavoj zizek if this is really more of our true personalities shining through than the ones we display in society at large. I dont hope so
