That was to be expected. The curse is real.
Seriously though, getting the highest seed isn't much of a reward if it implies you having to play Thorzain in the first round.

Curse? He got 3rd in his Code S group after going to Anaheim and then leaving right after for Dreamhack. And Ret is really good. It's beyond me how you chalk up this loss to Thorzain being cursed and not Ret doing a great job, even if ZvT is a little stupid right now.

Meh, it's always like that.
Thorzain loses: "THE EG CURSE STRIKES AGAIN"
Thorzain wins 5 days later: "He hasn't been on EG for long enough. THE CURSE WILL STRIKE SOON"
Thorzain loses 5 days later: "SEE I TOLD YOU. THE CURSE. SUCK IT EG"
Thorzain wins 5 days later: "Nope, nope. Hasn't been long enough"

Ret vs ThorZaIN where just amezing games to watch!

If I were EG CEO I'd seriously wonder why all players who join EG diminish their performances. And if I were a player with an offer to enter EG I'd really think about it, considering the background, it doesn't look like being on EG is any better for you as a player, though financially it probably works wonders.

Ah yes, post hoc ergo propter hoc. Because some great players signed to EG and then immediately hit a slump it obvious that it has something to do with EG right? Wrong. Lets be honest, some of EG's most notable sign ups (Puma, Huk, Thorzain) came off the back of huge tournament wins (NASL for Puma and DreamHack for Huk and Thorzain). So naturally if they don't win the next huge tournament they're suddenly on a slump? Lets look at Stephano, sure he's still doing well, but he's hardly the 'invincible number 1 foriegner' we knew 3 months ago, yet the masses don't pick up on it because there's nothing really to blame it on (team change, personal issues). And lets be honest, Stephano's results really aren't that bad, unless you count not winning every single major tournament bad.
Now apply that thinking to Thorzain, so he's not the methodical 'Spoon Terran' Swedish powerhouse we were witnessing a very short time ago, but are his results actually bad? Did he ever lose because he made poor decisions or had poor control? No, sometimes great people lose because equally great players out class them on the day.
If EG was the worst performing foreign team then maybe people would have a point, but they're not, infact they remain one of the best and most consistent top performers.

But dude, pls inform yourself about what you say first. check Liquipedia about the eg members and see what they have accomplished after they got into EG. With the exception of Thorzain (as he is really new) all of them have accomplished more than when they were on their old team. If you compare new players on EG with new players from other teams, you would see that they actually are doing well.
