Fast forward to 2009 I think. He had just built a custom computer and was looking for games to play on it. One that caught his eye was Starcraft II. He had remembered how we would play Brood War together and decided to look into it. We began to watch Husky and HD. While watching the HDH invitational, we say Day[9]. Husky mentioned that he had a "daily show" and that he did in depth analysis. Me and my brother began to watch him a lot. We would watch every single daily. Day[9] would make us fall in love with Starcraft. We finally managed somehow (I forget) to get a Beta Key. He would play and then let me play sometimes since he had the only computer that could play Starcraft. Even though I didn't play much, I immediately loved the game. It just brought me so much joy to watch it even if I'm not playing.
When the game went live, my brother got a copy for himself, but I didn't since I had no computer of my own to put it on and he was going off to college in about a month. For a little under 2 years I never played any Starcraft but I watched profusely. I would watch every major tournament and cheer on the Liquid players (they're my favorite team) and all foreigners in general. (especially Sase, he should join liquid ) About 2 months ago I was able to buy a computer of my own from saving up money for a few years. I custom build it myself. A little over a month ago, I bought my very own copy of Starcraft II. I began playing immediately. But something began bothering me. I was playing terran as I always had in Starcraft II. (back in the Beta) Something just wasn't right. I wasn't able to do all the drops and multitasking like the pros. I would just sit back in my base macroing to the best of my ability and then move out for an all or nothing push. It got very boring quickly. I stopped laddering and began to play custom games. About a week ago I decided I would switch to zerg.
I began to watch Ret's and TLO's stream a lot and learned a lot about how zerg should be played. I finally began to ladder with zerg. After a week of playing with zerg, I am in the Top 25 of my Gold league. I know that's not very good, but I've only played zerg for a week. My goal is to be able to get to platinum by the end of July. I will not be playing for a little over a week due to a busy schedule and personal issues, but at the start of July I will begin laddering seriously in a goal of reaching platinum. Hopefully I will be able to make it.
Thank you for taking your time to read my blog and have a good day
