And I didnt see too many make that exact claim. Definition to hype: "to intensify (advertising, promotion, or publicity) by ingenious or questionable claims, methods" As soon as there is an upcoming player or otherwise promising (like Moon), its called a hype, because that player doesnt have results to back it up. This is so silly. If he would have results, he wouldnt be upcoming/promising anymore. And its not an "ingenious or questionable claim" that Moon will be good regarding his history. Its so frustrating that every upcoming player gets thrown in the hype trash can. (And may stay there forever, like when Stephano won IPL3, he was still overhyped according to many) But Moon was never particularly great at Sc2. A lot of people claim Moon will be one of the worlds elite players with practice, I think that's a questionable claim for sure. And Stephano is still overhyped. He hasn't won a Premier Tournament in 8 months (and he's only made one final in that time) and yet is constantly the favourite to win almost everything according to TL.

Like it or not, he's been the best foreigner for about a year now, and he keeps doing well in most major tournaments he participates in, even if he doesn't always end up winning them.

Guy would rape everything that isnt kespa if hed play 10h/day which he doesnt, at least play on par with the best 5. You dont have a wc3 background, i assume? Look at the foreigners, probably 22-25 of the best 30 have been wc3 players before. Just one of them was near Moon's level, all the others were little flys to him. He was the 5th race.

He then also went on to all-kill ST in the KSL. Don't get me wrong I like StarTale and I love some of the players on their team, but if they seriously want to be considered champion material they need to step it up and stop falling apart where it really matters and getting all-killed. Prime was the better team then. Now grow up and deal with it. Well, in the recent KSL finals he DID single handedly kill the entire ST lineup 6-0 T_T

Its definitely a questionable claim, because there is no evidence that shows WC3 skill translates in any way into SC2 skill. All we know is Moon was really, really good at WC3 and that he's a creative, smart, and hard working player. There is no way to know how those traits will impact his SC2 performance. Therefore, the claim that he's gonna be great at sc2 is clearly questionable and by no means a certainty.
