Glad to see the most respectable figure in e-sports speak out about terran being weak. Hopefully other races and blizzard will take our 'whining' more seriously now. I've always found Terran 'whiners/complainers' the most mature out of the 3 races and yet they always get shut down the fastest. Terran WAS imba in beta-earlySC2, but many things got nerfed and the metagame has evolved to quite a stable state and most things have been figured out yet late game Terran remains ???
Also, if what Flash said about playing 4-5 days into Masters is true then he must be really be a god(I didn't watch BW). Top Masters on KR is easily equilevant to GM, and as proof he's playing Apocalypse, a Korean terran who often hovers around Top 20 GM...
The only interesting thing left for me in SC2 is to see Flash play.

Complaining about balance in BW was pointless since there were not any assurances Blizzard would ever patch it. Correcting for imbalances fell on the shoulders of players pushing their own skills to the limit (why do you think they have such high APM?) and experiences map makers and testers.

Flash fighting! You are the light of Terran in darkness.

It is a pity that all SC2 maps looks the same because you cant create maps like Heartbridge, Outsider, or Match Point or Reversed Levels in Main/Nat because the broken mechanics like Force Fields. And all the maps are a Open Center, a Main/Natural/Third easy to defend. And you dont need a 4th in sc2 because the income is absrudly huge. And that different levels doesnt mean nothing because there are not adventage for terrain.

Not to mention the incredible gap in macro mechanics. BW was simply a hard game to even play, much less play well. Even the best games played by pros could be looked back on and see where they could have put 5 workers to mine 2-3s faster, see an idle building, or made that unit follow their orders better. There was ALWAYS obvious gameplay improvement, and then came strategy.

Protoss is OP. You heard it here from the mouth of God. Will you not believe it?

Flash words :"Im a noob" ; " I'm currently going all-in on SC2 because it's my first time playing. " I can image the scene. Flash go for 3 rax allin or 111 or a shit similar and a random opponent in the ladder own "the king of bw" cause he has more experience than him and know how to hold this kind of playstyle. Every players in masters (the current league of flash) can hold an all in if scouted properly. The fact that Flash was the one of the greatest Bw players doesn't mean that is a SC2 guru at the moment Yeah, im a pathetic protoss. No, but you have pathetic reading comprehension. He meant he's practicing nothing but SC2 at the moment, he isn't all-ining every game.
Probably you didn't understand the point of my post beside the words I quoted from flash itself. I'll try to explain again with my poor english.
He's a masters player, even if he plays in the Kr ladder. Probably years of success in bw led him directly to where he is (kr masters) , but he needs much more practice to achieve great results here in sc2.
As he still not proven anything yet in sc2, i think it's premature to consider him an sc2 guru.
I bet that the Terran players hails these words because that's what they want to hear. (TOSS OP!).
This is my opinion and I dont want to offend anyone

@Plansix – “Why do zealots come out of that umbrella?” I cried laughing @CrazyBirdman – Love everything you said.
I’ve honestly never seen an interview with Flash. I’m immensely pleased to see how he thinks about the game as, in his words, “a noob”. He’s in Masters League, it’s amazing, he speaks less about balance than any GOLD, PLATINUM, and Diamond league! This really shows how he feels about his knowledge of SC2. Even as a Master level player, he still feels like a low level noob. Obviously in comparison to the current pros, he is, and in comparison to the rest of us on TL, he’s a MASTER level player. Flash gives his thoughts without claiming them as gospel (assuming the accuracy of the translation is sufficient for any sort of analysis of his words). He does state, however, that he was having trouble with a strategy in SC2 which he is comfortable with in BW isn’t working for him. I’ve argues with many people that SC2 is a different game than BW. This, I believe, confirms my stance on the subject.
I stopped reading the posts for more inspiration to write after page 25 because everyone is arguing about balance...JUST as I stated in the previous paragraph!!!
But like everyone else on TL and many other sites, I am extremely excited to see what the KeSPA players do with the strategies in SC2.

Flash speaks out for all us average terran players by stating the obvious that protoss is OP. Now lets not lynch him for just speaking the truth.
|
When Flash says something is OP, we listen and make changes. End of discussion.
|
Agree with the above now. Just a thread full of Flash fanboys using his words as the ultimate proof to their beliefs. With Protoss defending. By all means let Flash balance the game though. Remove forcefields and Warpgates....

Quick someone zoom in and poach Flashs username

So it's balance even no toss could ever show his dominant for more than ten years? Meanwhile millions of champions are Terran players. I do not want to argue which race is op, but the truth that the greatness of BW is not beacuse of balance, but beacuse of those progamers, maps and the fact that Blizzard hasn't patch it for a long time.

Wait a second. Is this interview really legit? Flash complains about balance too much. I didn't expect stuff like that.

Yes hes complaining but he was asked a question about balance and he replied it directly and honestly.
If i think the game is imbalanced and someone asks me for my opinion, why shouldn't i say what i feel?
Compare it to Idra who whines in public games/tournaments, rage quits and just be a general dick about it, even calling protoss players bad.
