My parents told me that I picked the pencils (I think options were cash/noodles/pencils and few others I don't remember). I know that my sister picked noodles. It's a great family celebration and tradition, and I'm sure you and your family (especially your children) can smile at the pictures for years to come.

Rice is same like money, wealthy, string=long life, pencil=scholar ^^ Also, the next time we have a TL meet up, we should wear name tags cause last time there were like 60 people! But I'm sure I had a drink with everyone! And @FuDDx lol, nuts that you also did that as well, the parents must have been the creative types!
