You know that Kas is definetly not normal. He played the IEM Kiev like a boss with a broken (?) leg. I'm sure in the near future we will learn that Kas is ex-Spetznas.
Wait, really? Totally didn't know that.
I think the real takeaway from all this should clearly be that Kas is a boss.

Another immature 14 yr old lolol. They said he demanded his way and promptly logged out without being patient enough and let a decision be made. Nope. Seems like the logical choice if your number one goal is to deliver the best possible content to your barcraft fan base. I mean the only reason the finals wasn't pushed back was for that number one goal to not be ruined (though let's be honest, if they pushed it back a night and hyped up a Kas and Stephano final - even off replays - I think they would have attracted quite the crowd to watch the game; I'm sure it would have included people that had not even considered going the night before). Seems stupid to me to penalize a player based your own poor planning but what can you do? I think in terms of other sports, any fan would tell you if the game can't be played at it's highest level I'd rather have it be pushed back, no matter how many buddies they had invited over to watch it.. Not like you can't do it again to actually enjoy a good game of baseball for example. If the weather made it impossible to play well, the game is delayed and eventually rescheduled. Because the most important thing should always be the entertainment from watching the game actually played, not half assed.
So it seems to me they had two chances to make that happen, replays or reschedule. They chose neither+ Show Spoiler +
, gave the barcrafters a piss poor excuse for a final, and cheated a player out of his rightful 2nd place prize money (the player they invited because they knew would personally attract more viewers than anybody else they had gotten).
Edit: To those that mentioned the offer of playing right away and casting off replays... Stephano already tweeted that he couldn't put on any kind of decent performance at the point in which he chose to log off. Why not play it the next day, get the replays, and cast it as a hyped finals at a good barcraft time? Or even play it live knowing the players can now rest up before it? Again building the hype to an already anticipated final between two of europes best.
Also like someone mentioned, Kas could have easily said "lol I'm not playing someone from the bronze metal game, my opponent forfeit, ok, I win.". He didn't but you see the issue with making up rules on the spot when clearly they were not layed out before. Pretty sure had they told stephano upfront before he said he was tired the consequence of the forfeit his decision could have actually been made with all the facts and rules present.. And who knows what it would have been?

This is a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Except that in your case, the answer was on the same page as well.
I sat there contemplating what you could possibly mean and came up with nothing. I explained that the tournament organizers had chosen to neither cast the tournament (the whole thing obviously, having someone play when they are that tired would still have defeated the purpose) off replays, nor move the match to the following day. Then I told somebody that had they read several pages back they would have seen that Stephano had tried to reschedule and didn't just rage quit.
Either way you are either using that expression in a completely wrong way or you are misunderstanding something.

They never once said that. I've read every post of the last 20 pages, please show me. O wait I forgot that people that sit there and acuse people that don't agree with them to be 14 year old kids because they can't win an argument probably wouldn't have proof of that. Lololololol.
See what I did there? Now I'm as mature as you! Wait...
Edit: Looking back, no one ever disagreed that stephano attempted to reschedule the match. Meaning your misimformed first post that started with a nice jab at French people was not only completely wrong in everyday, but also came across as very mature.
Also good luck not getting a warning for the post below mine. Lots of content there, I don't think anyone is going to have any qualms deciding who the 14 year old is.
Tournaments should be played at decent hours for players. Stephano was too tired to play and even if he did play the games woud have been awful. You cannot blame him for wanting to get some sleep. It is the responsibilities of admin to organize their tournaments properly and to manage time efficiently. Moreover it is not like if forfeited GSL or MLG, it was minor event.
if anything this event has indicated is that there needs to be specific rules in place for these type of things. This shouldn't happen again in the future, i hope lol.
Tl rarely has legitimate arguments. It's almost always 14 yr olds bashing each other when somebody disagrees and so eager to jump down somebody's throat if somebody isn't as informed and is merely trying to state an opinion. So no surprise there. Waiting for Tl to become 4chan tbh

If Stephano didn't think he could manage his time correctly for the tournament, he should have declined his invitation. This wasn't the first tournament Stephano has ever been in. He knew how long tournaments can go on for. It's his fault for being too tired to play in the finals.

Why only steph? he isnt from us ?
There's a big difference between the finals and any other match within a tournament.
When Stephano quits, the tournament ends. The game he just played in is the end and the tournament ends abruptly without any hype without any of the regular chances to thank players, viewers, sponsors, or whatever.
Stephano quits and it ends. This is not the case for any other match except for Kas.
If Kas did the same, he would have gotten the same treatment.

Expectations, I guess. No one really expected Tyler to go far in this tournament, other than the hardcore fans. Him dropping out was largely inconsequential, as he had already lost to Catz and was very unlikely to beat Stephano. I am not saying that his actions are justified, nor were they professional, as he was basically in this tournament because of his fans, and quitting early like that is a bit of a slap to the face to his fanbase.
At this point, it would take a miracle for Tyler to be competitive again, as he is so out of practice and perhaps more importantly, the competitive drive is not there anymore.

Because nobody cares about tyler. Stephano was in the FINALS and quit.
Did u see a final ? Yes...
Admin did the right thing to let illu plays the final and to let people see a final, but i dont undestand the trash talk about steph when tyler did the same thing and nobody cares.

No, that would be retarded...Why would Illusion give away the prize money that he earned....>_>
Because he lost to stephano fair and square in the semi-finals.
There should be a thread in the general section about this thing. A lot of people should be informed about what ONOG did so they never support / watch it again.
I saw the whole tournament.
Illusion made it farther than Stephano in the tournament. Whatever qualm you have should be with the tournament, not with players.
Illusion shouldn't be penalized because of this stupid complicated mess that's been created.
Of course he doesnt have to be penalized. I never said he should be penalized. I just said if he is a good guy he will write a check for the difference between 3rd and 2nd place to stephano. I know i would. But there are not many people like me that think about what is right and what is wrong.
What?! That's a ridiculous thing for illusion to do. If stephano is a good guy, he should say, I was wrong to forfeit and I should have been DQ instead and receive no prize money and not even accept the 4th place money. I know I would, but there are not many people like me that think about what is right and what is wrong.
