I would like to use my gifted blogging powers to point attention to a game that I believe deserves it. The gameplay experience isn't for everyone, I suggest it if you're into game design and/or digital art (or creepy stuff ).
Released in 2005 by "Kikiyama", Yume Nikki is a one man game project in which the player experience the life of a hikikomori (acute social withdrawal) where your bedroom is your only bound with reality.
Can you escape?
While being pretty much unknown, this game managed to create a decent fanbase. It will take you for a ride on the Strange Train and because it has no dialogue, and offer close to no explanations, fans have created websites, wikias, fanarts with all sorts of theories.
Gameplay wise, the best way to describe it would be an interactive progressive labyrinth, but it probably wont feel like it... It's hard to explain but it's only 47mb so go give it a try.
