Gratz to him, I remember when SlayerS was a bunch of code B nobodies, and everyone knew that boxer could find hidden talent. Now they're the scariest team around. I love how fruitdealer and rainbow are still up there, considering that they havent won anything in forever.

But knowing the outcome doesn't spoil the adventure. I knew that anakin was going to turn to the dark side at the end of episode 3, but I still thought it was an acceptable movie.... That's fair enough. You're able to watch a series like last night's and enjoy it even though you know the results - I'd watch it and be constantly thinking "FUCK this would be so much better if I didn't know DRG wins the next 3 games and lost an epic game 7." I think the main thing for me is that Game 7 was so insane and back-and-forth, if I knew before the game started that MMA won, it'd kill it for me.

People keep going "I WANT SC2 TO BE CONSIDERED A SPORT", but you don't want any official articles on the subject for like, X amount of days after release? After football/hockey games they are discussing the results EVERYWHERE. After the NBA playoffs, newpapers are talking about it and regular news channels are on it minutes after. The fact is, you just need to suck it up. What makes competitive sports amazing is the casting and information and records broken behind them. The sooner we can get beyond this silly concept of "spoiling" results even after they have been broadcasted, the sooner we can be legitimized more. If you don't want to "spoil" yourself, then don't go on the freaking websites dedicated to SC2 news. Very well damn done by MMA, nonetheless. A great accomplishment.

You can't possibly be serious. Let me get this straight: You're pissed because TL.net HAPPENS to be your homepage (which happens to be easily fixed), and thus, upon opening your browser, you HAPPEN to look at the SC2 sidebar (which happens to be customizable), and thus you HAPPEN to be spoiled about an event which you HAPPEN to know has ended recently? Well, I sincerely happen to hope, that you won't happen to take offense. if I happen to think, that you happen to be mentally challenged.

In fact the earnings here are basically for a year and a half yeah? =/

Just because ESPN posts results right away out in the open, doesn't mean we have to (without spoiler tags). Are some of you seriously trying to justify not showing a little courtesy? Laugh Out Loud. What do you think the community of a Starcraft 2 website is going to be discussing after a huge year-end tournament just finished? Why are you going to the sports & games forum? Are you going to check results? Are you going to engage in conversation on past games? You enjoy the blog section, that's great, so don't minimize the forum sidebar along with all the sidebars you should already have minimized when trying to avoid spoilers. FYI: People keep citing ESPN with the intention of affording clarity to others that "other sports do it". The point that we should be making regarding ESPN is that there are so many MORE people that WANT the results upfront, that they can dedicate entire CHANNELS to bringing the results to the masses. On your last point about our justifications, you've got the wrong impression on what courtesy actually is. It's discourteous to think that 5,000 cars should stop and park on the shoulder of a highway so that YOU can get home quickly. It's discourteous to think that the minority should dictate what the majority does because it benefits the minority.

The Mavericks beat the Heat last night? YOU ARE AN ASS, I DIDN'T GET TO WATCH THE GAME YET!" Honestly if someone said that to me, as an NBA fan, I would just look at him as if he was stupid. Anyways, congrats MMA! One of my favorite players. On December 18 2011 12:41 Desirous wrote: Laugh Out Loud. It's discourteous to think that the minority should dictate what the majority does because it benefits the minority. As all the TL news are spoiler free, TL have decided to be spoiler-free and therefor the forum should be it aswell. If TL would post all the winners in the news section then I feel like the page itself is saying: We are not going to post matchresult in the news section: Notice how all the news are titled: Interview with Blizzard cup finalist. They dont say: Interview with DRG and MMA, the blizzcon finalists. That's why I feel that the forum should be as spoiler free as possible. I'm hiding the Fan clubs cause I know that people will write in them after an event, if I see that the MMA fanclub is active then I know that he most likely won. TL DR; I feel like the forum should be as spoiler free as possible because TL themself are not giving away spoilers in the news so they want people to use the webpage even though an event is going on / is completed.

And I can't believe Fruitdealer and Rainbow are on that list. Those beta tournaments must have paid lots of money.

1. Paid VODs are a significant part of SC2, SC2 is also a global game so you cannot expect even the majority of viewers to watch it live. These two factors make any comparisons to NFL etc invalid. 2. We can have both. People aren't asking you not to post news, they are asking you to put a spoiler tag and avoid spoiling in the title. If you did this we'd have news and people could remain unspoiled, everyone wins.

During the Olympics, ESPN analysts, along with those from other sports networks, will make a statement saying "If you don't want the results spoiled, turn the channel for a few minutes RIGHT NOW" before showing scores, they dont just go ahead and start posting results without warning. So yeah, ESPN avoids spoilers unless its for the four major sports (football, basketball, hockey, baseball) because most people wont be in a weird timezone when the game is on, and most people wont bother recording an NFL or NHL game so they can watch it later. Its cool that MMA broke the 100k club in what may have been the best SC2 series played to date.
