I kinda don't mind it though. Is anyone really worse off by her getting interviewed/spotlighted? No, and any promotion of sc2 that attempts to shake the image of basement dwelling neckbeard nerd is still good. Her being interviewed really doesn't come at anyone's expense so w/e.

Replace your statement with "100 APM slower" to see what I mean. Not everyone is equal. What I'm trying to get at is we, as human beings, are interested in each other for many reasons. Some are interested in attractive female gamers. Is there a problem with that? We have the freedom to choose. Edit: I should clarify and say that we should have freedom of choice. Of course some governments disagree.

ChillgetoutGG quoting Chill. Huh. Anyway, Can't we have a thread where people don't have to act "omg im so smart so many things wrong with this thread"? Girl had fun at MLG, loves the game we love, happens to be fairly attractive (not my type though). Deal with it.

However, I feel that putting any gamer on the main stage, who does not possess the skill to be showcased on the main stage is a mistake - regardless of gender. In this case in particular - I feel that showcasing a low level player as something special - i.e. 'The first female ever!' is somewhat of a mockery of what that honorable position could be. If they wanted to showcase a female gamer - there are high level females who have earned it more, via being of the appropriate skill level. =x

Everyone at that stage in the tournament was playing relatively low level players. While I would say the female that played Jinro gave some pretty good games, I believe it was flo but i'm not sure. I do agree that MLG probably had someone say "hey we could put so and so on the main stage for first match but Losira is playing this hot chick... " Does some random diamond player deserve all of this attention? Nope. Is this how every community, for the most part, responds to something new and different? Pretty much. This is a male domintated arena at the moment, so are female's going to get preferential treatment? Yes. Lets just move along and learn to deal with it.

Losira is REALLY cute, I am still reminded when Losira's coach came into his booth, stroking his hair gently before a game, so much manlove :D

i would much rather see a interview with a girl gamer and her be 60 years old and ugly. that way at least i could say "ahhh good see we dont just care about hotness in girl gamers. we just wanna see gamers and the reason these girl gamers are getting attention is because they are girls. and sure if they were guys of the same skill they wouldnt be getting attention but it doesnt matter because gender differences do exist and if the sport was 99% female, and 1% male, then the first few male progamers would also get spotlight like this even if their skill wasnt up to par. its not about a double standard, its simply a fact that men and women are different (however slightly it may be) and if one is a huge majority and another is a small minority, obviously some people will be interested in seeing some spotlight on some in the minority even if their skill in that minority isnt top level" but with all these girl gamers being hot, all i end up saying it "GOD DAMMIT why is every gamer chick being interviewed super hot? what TEH FFFFFFFF???? ugh its like the interviewer is just trying to gain popularity by throwing a hot chick in our face. why cant you go find some ugly gamer girls dangit i care about starcraft not boobs!!!!
