how is it going to work out with max players? Since there's no cap is there a deadline? Like "We will start on 24.12.2011 no matter how many players we got" (although that probably would be a bad idea :p ), or how do you guys decide it's enough players?

When the moon and stars are in alignment, and Scorpio sits in the seventh house, venus will rise over the horizon and the words of the seer will echo over the valley! Then all will be ready for the new beginning! On a more serious note, we are waiting to see what signups are like in the first 48-72 hours before deciding anything.

Bodyguard You have been selected to protect the mayor and the sheriff. You do not know who the other bodyguards are. As long as you live the mayor and sheriff are immune to all night actions except roleblocks. If you are mafia then you will be a poor bodyguard, allowing kills to go through if all non-mafia bodyguards are dead So does this mean that townie bodyguards throw themselves in front of the mayor/sheriff and take bullets for them? That seems to be the obvious interpretation of the role given the description, but I just want to make sure.

Im not GM, but the way it worked in PYPI was that simply as long as the bodygaurd is alive, the mayor was invincible. The bodygaurd did not take shots for the mayor.

As long as there are bodyguards with radar guns and there to remind the mayor that taking a midnight stroll, alone, in the middle of a thunderstorm is a bad idea, the mayor will be safe. That is, the bodyguards don't take the shots for the mayor, they essentially keep any actions from affecting the mayor (except roleblocks!) no dying necessary.
