Scourge of all ancient civilization, destroyer of millions and minor inconveniences in modern first world countries. How could they possibly be worse?

I did once though, beat a live rat to death with a baseball bat - at my friends place, in front of the driveway. He had 3 younger brothers who were probably elementary/middle school at the time. Needless to say, I was the hero that day.

edit: Need to unleash total chemical warfare to have any chance to get rid of them, especially the small buggers! Damn those pests and hoarders in my family!

I used to have a stupid neighbor that kept goats and pigs in his back yard, and when he was forced to get rid of them for stinking up the entire neighborhood, all the rats and mice that lived on the animal feed had to find a new home(and source of food). Enter rat infestation. I could go out to my shed out in the back yard with my pellet gun and shoot a rat or two every time I went out for for at least a month. They chewed wires, tore open bags of potato chips, chewed open jars of peanut butter, chewed holes in the walls, etc. It was seriously rat hell for a month straight. I remember going out back with a BB gun, and massacring an entire family of rats(mom and about 8 babies) in about 60 seconds, because I shot the mom first and young 'uns didn't know to scatter. They just hopped around doing whatever while I sat about 30 feet away and shot them all. I would set traps too, and would catch them in them every couple of days as well. The rats also learned how to take food off the trap without setting it off, so I would have to put the traps out with food on them, but unset, so the rats would get accustomed to not paying attention to them any more, and then I would set them one night and get a motherload. As seen here. AHHHH the things you learn to outwit the furry little bastards. For instance, setting multiple traps all facing inwards. You see, rats have tails, and they would set traps off with their tails while they were paying attention to another trap, and while flailing around, would usually get the death blow from flopping into another trap. TLDR: Op, I kind of feel sorry for you....but not really. MAN UP. THEY'RE JUST LITTLE FURRY RODENTS. D-D-D-DOUBLE KILL
