Yeah, okay. Those are pretty awesome lol. Feels a little moot for me to plan anything "better" since your line-up is pretty much end-game already. The only thing I would've done is nullify weaknesses, but you just have to play a little bit smartly and that shouldn't be a problem either.
Kudos on Trumpeter, Odin, and Loki, all 3 I used quite a bit in my own line-up.

If I do a new game+ I'll perhaps try that, but I'm too eager to try persona 3, and I noticed that this serie has a lot of games, on PS2, on PSP, on DS...now I want to play them all TT

I started P3 FES, I like it but I think it's better to begin with the 3, it's hard to play it when you're used to the additions of the 4th imo. The social links are not too touching and the team members are flat imo. Well, I just played one month so we'll see, I still like it.

I should've made a sign that says "Angra plz start streaming again <3" and made her hold it for the photo
Angra where r uuuu
Btw MrCon, I think P3Fes picks up after you get a few more party members. I can see your point about the social links. I also prefer the P4-style of s.links more than P3. The major differences are, no male party member s.links, less s.links available at night, and the s.links themselves are much more unforgiving (You cannot two-time in P3 :O).
But hang in there. Once the story progresses a bit, I think you'll enjoy it a bit more.

Once the story progresses a bit, I think you'll enjoy it a bit more. Ha, thanks, that's reassuring. I have about 70 playdays in P3, and I still don't know why I'm in the game, there is still no story, no goal. Had I started with P3, I think I would have stopped the game right now and never played the 4th one haha. The social links have nothing special to say until now, and I have multiple ones at 6-8. At least the dungeon part is way harder, that keeps me hooked.
In P4 I was so hooked that I couldn't sleep and the first thing I wanted to do after waking up was to play it xD I wanted to know who was the culprit and all. I loved the characters. I have 30 played hours on P4 and I still don't know the name of my party members haha :D
And then there are all the gameplays changes (shortcut to equip a persona from the menu in P4, in P3 you have to go all the way to the persona to equip it, and you can't know what the skill are doing TT)
I stop here, I give the feeling that I hate the game, which is not the case. Let's say I like the 3 more for the dungeon crawling and grinding. I play it more like a diablo right now ^^
Ah, and there's the fact you don't control your teammates, that they level up so slooooowly (in 30 hours none of my teammates learned a new skill ><), and that they're tired after 10 battles so I have to solo the whole game.

HEY YUKARI, I AM POISONED, HELP ME OUT HERE
Yukari: Dia!

Yeah, the A.I. is known to be absolutely horrendous in this game. I got used to depending only on the MC really quickly, so P4 in that regard is much more forgiving. It's also why I got so obsessed with fusion, because making a solid line-up of personas is really what makes or breaks the game. The nice thing is in P3, there's really no random drop in difficulty like in P4 (unless you somehow make the most overpowered personas as you possibly can, I suppose)
That said, I also like playing P3 for the dungeon crawling. When you beat the regular portion of the game, there's also an epilogue of sorts ("The Answer"), which really tests your ability to dungeon crawl and fight bosses. Which I also enjoyed :>
See, this is where if you had a PSP, you'd have a better time. P3P actually fixes some of the problems you mention (Female MC can have s.links with every single party member, and they start much earlier. And you can control party members in battle :O)
Oh here's a little bug you can take advantage of in P3Fes It's up to you if you want to use it.
When approaching shadows from behind, you know you can get a first strike easily because the shadows can't see directly behind them (unlike in P4 -_-). You can force a shadow to turn its back to you by opening your menu, then closing it. The shadow will pause for a second, then decide which way to face. This works better if the shadow is farther away from where it "spawned", so if you do this a couple times and the shadow refuses to turn away from you, just let it walk towards you a couple steps, then try again.
This is actually important, because you're time limited for every floor in P3, especially if you hit those "special" floors, where you only have a minute or two before you-know-who shows up :<
Of course, you don't actually need to do this for every shadow you encounter. There are two regular methods to force a first strike, which is attack a shadow from an elevated area (shadows can't see you if you're on top of stairs, so you get a first strike even if you strike from the front) or attract a shadow, then run far enough away form it so that it loses interest in you. If you return to the shadow, it'll be walking the other way.

Hey, I just finished the summer vacation (the beach part) and finally the story start. Thanks for the shadow menu tip, I noticed it a few times but didn't knew it worked 100% of the time. I have a lot of gems and persona enhancing items right now, but I don't dare to use them, is it wise t owait for higher level persona or not ?
|
The summer vacation arc is so awesome :D Aigis ftw~
As for the items, I think you can make new stat-enhancing cards with gems, and you can get gems much more easily in the deeper floors of Tartarus. I would just use a couple on personas you know you'll be sticking with for a while. Your higher-leveled persona (like Surt or Odin) would have no problem being overpowered imo

I tried to put all my magic cards on a lvl30 persona, has 99 magic now and his mabufu (+ ice amp, had it on a skil lchange and transfered it) one shot every monsters haha :D I won't use it, but I guess you can make that with strength cards too with any persona that has a physical hit all skill.

Hey, I have a question : does the movie festival has a purpose in P3 FES ? I have all 3 attribute maxed, so I don't care about that.
|
I think those were just some extra scenes for FES. If you have s.links with that person, you'll gain some points for the next rank-up as well.
If your attributes are maxed, you might as well do those, but I don't think you'll miss anything major if you don't. I know this is different in P3P but that's a whole 'nother story.

Ha thanks. Because for like 15 days you're day is taken by cinema and your night is taken by a walk with the dog, but during all of that I could level up hanged man, tower, devil, sun, hierophant...I saved just before all that, and made all the optional events, and they're not especially interesting. I think I'll reload, max my slinks and only do the movie/walk when it gain points toward a link that need points before leveling up. Because I looked left and right and it seems you don't have a lot of free time in persona 3, you have like one day extra if you do everything perfectly (and I don't think I did, I just planned the girls so they don't go reverse).
|
I never bothered with max s.link runs in my persona gameplays.
Actually, I somehow managed it on the very last day of P4, but I winged the whole thing. The only part of a guide I used was to check my answers for rank-up events. So I'm sure P4 is a whole lot more lenient than P3.
I think at the end of P3, I maxed every link except Empress, which was at rank 2 or 3. But I think I also attended every single movie date (and the Christmas date as well), which are all optional (I think.. Not actually sure for the Christmas date. I know the P4 Christmas event was optional)

Alright just finished Persona 3 PES too. P4 took me 120 hours, P3 115. Great game despite a bad scenario and average social links. But the dungeon crawling part is more interesting than in P4 IMO, so it makes up for it. I went for true ending, maxed all slink (the schedule is really tight and way harder than P4), went for all ultimate equipment and accessories (event got the 1% orb of gg haha :D). Was quite surprised at level 99 when all stats get suddenly maxed (you go from like 500HP/300SP at level 98 to 999/999 at 99 ^^) A good game, now I'll try Nocturne and I intent to try the whole Shin Megami Tensei serie anyway =)
Btw I finally used the very high end persona (I didn't fused them in P4, I stopped with the one I posted screenshots of), and the high level persona are awesome =) Hellel, Satan, Lucifer, Chi-You, Shiva, Metatron, Asura...very nice. I even made an Orpheus Telos (but did not use it, STR against everything but no skill is not very funny) Even the optional dongeon is easy with those. But I had a good time fusing all that stuff, even if I used none really.
