I swear we need to do something like organize a "no-pre order of HotS" until we get a statement about lan. I say no pre-order because everyone is going to buy it no matter what but it is important for companies to see healthy pre order numbers.

In 10 years it will probably be impossible to play any game without an account and being logged into the internet in order to kill piracy.

It's often due to misinformation (like how at IPL3, some announcer had said that the entire state's internet went down, all the while I'm sitting in my house in New Jersey, cruising on my perfectly-fine internet connection). IPL failed because of that truck disaster. Not sure why NY's IEM tournament is delayed. Sometimes, stuff happens. Doesn't necessarily mean the entire country (or even the house 50 miles away) is affected Could happen anywhere in the world. That truck disaster wouldn't have affected IPL at all if the infrastructure was up to standards. And just look at how many internet related issues come up in US tournaments compared to Asia and Europe.

I don't know if it would catch on, but I for one would be up for such an initiative. We need to do something, this is getting ridiculous and as always it is killing eSports...

Blizzard already told us there is no plans for lan and they are scared of the pirating of the game that comes with lan so start your preordering now...

Broadband as well as cellphone coverage is not as widely available in the United States compared with Western Europe and East Asia. Our internet speeds are considerably slower also.
