Personally I think the balance in this game is great, and the game on the whole is really great. But there are a number of things I feel could be added to make the game at least 20% cooler. I have prepared a number of changes that I think would accomplish this. Here you go:
- A barracks trains marines, right? You should be able to release hundreds of civilians from your barracks, with 10 life and no attack. You could just make them walk around.
- When you get upgrades for your units, you should be able buy unupgraded versions of those units for a reduced price. This is because they are last year’s models and are therefore obsolete.
- Similarly to the above, if you get a lot of the same unit at the same time (like when remaxing with zerglings for example), they should come at a discounted rate for buying in bulk.
- In each person’s main base, there should be a thing called an inhibitor. If you kill your opponents, you start spawning ultralisks/colossus/thors automatically.
- Units should be able to wrestle critters and take control of them like in Avatar.
- There should be a chance for non-zerg units to slip and fall on creep. They would lose 20% of their health and be unable to move for 30 seconds while they nurse their injured knees. Also, units that could only shoot ground before, like Colossus or Marauders, can only shoot up until they manage to stand.
- When a player loses a production building of any kind, they should have to go into a one minute mourning period. During this time, all their other units have to return to the site of the destroyed building and pay their condolences.
- If you go more than 8 minutes into a game without expanding, you should get demoted a league after the game.
- Protoss needs an option to upgrade a pylon into a super pylon. It’s radius is the size of a Sieged Tank’s range and it can warp in units from the Robotics Facility or Stargate.
- Terran needs the ability to drop down a super SCV that can mine 300 minerals in just 90 seconds. Actually scratch that, it doesnt sound very reasonable.
- A scouting worker should be able to claim to be a Nigerian Prince who totally needs all your minerals. There is a 1/20 chance of this being successful.
- After a game, you should be able to ally with the person you faced and 2v1 some poor sap in the following game.
- All workers should do +150 bonus damage to destructible rocks.
- You should be able to launch attack ads on your opponent that can make their army abandon them.
- Obvious change - Lurker needs to come back, it can replace the drone.
- Your units should disobey your orders if you dont have a high enough gym badge.
- Xel Naga Towers should sell transport ships called Goblin Zeppelins but only if you have enough lumber.
- Units should randomly go AWOL because they “Just cant take the horrors anymore, man.”
- Ultralisks are no longer buildable. Instead, you have to get a zergling to 10 kills and it will evolve into one. Luckily, this no longer requires a hive.
Hokay, that’s all I have for now. I don’t know if we can reasonably implement all of these, but as many as possible will surely make the game a lot better.
+ Show Spoiler + I’m considering sending this to Blizzard just to see if they would read it/respond at all. But at the same time, I’m frightened they actually listen and throw them in the game. :D:D:D

I enjoyed reading :D Especially like the pokemon one haha

I think you should have had more references like the lol / brawl / pokemon / total war ones. Those were most entertaining...
(and the super scv ) You are creativish! :D

Very economic, very reasonable, perfectly logical. No igloos though, I'm disappointed.

Total war (i played rome) was a fucking terrible game I got convinced to play, where you have to worry about attack/defense/reange/etc and fucking morale, where if you don't have enough morale all your units run away in fear. There are also units that you make to fucking scare the enemy away...first time I played, I only payed attention to "useful stats" and within 5 minutes all my units were running away in fear...
edit: and they usually say some stupid illogical lines while running off the map

HAHAHAHA
The super scv made me laugh hard :D

Also @ ReketSomething, thanks for explanation, that does sound pretty silly. :D

Made me laugh, nice one Bibbit! For some reason I immediately thought of this when I read the Lurker.
Lurker needs to come back, it can replace the drone. Additionally, Lurkers may attack mineral patches allowing for an additional 50 minerals to be mined for each attack. The lurker attack does linear splash, so it's placement can be particularly useful when using this ability.

i am a prince from Char. My late father passed away yesterday, and he left me many deposits of minerals and terrazine. He was a friend of your fathers, and i want to reward a generous soul with many minerals! if you send me your SSN and bank details you can help me invest my minerals and i will reward you greatly!
rofl, great read. 5/5

I think Zerg larvae/eggs should have a chance of producing double the unit.
Seriously, why can't Zerg units be twins?

Seriously, why can't Zerg units be twins? all the twin genes get grabbed by the zerglings before the ultralisks can get to them.

There has to be a 2/10 chance that a zergling egg pops out a siamese zergling, rendering it useless when joined by their butts

Good read :D

They should be able to fly imo.

Who needs drones anyways? Lurker > drone.

SC2 needs more Far Seer's -_-'
Chain lightning spirit wolves wtf owned

wait for the next Red alert!

I propose the addition of a bank building where you can take out loans on minerals with your buildings and units as security and variable interest rates based on your income level. If you miss a payment, the bank will send units to foreclose on your assets...
