G'day guys,
Lately Starcraft 2 has become somewhat stale for me to play, but I still have an interest in the game. So as I was browsing the forums I came across This thread which intrigued me!
I always wanted to play BW but I never got around to setting up everything and learning the ropes. Until yesterday that is!
Join me as I stream myself learning Brood war on iccup (and the KR servers once I can be stuffed figuring it out), there may be mentors/coaches that want to come along and help on stream, but mostly that sort of thing will be off-stream.
I'm on holidays for the next 2 weeks so the plan is to stream at least a few hours every-day of Brood War. All of my streams will have running commentary by me (and others occasionally) with my webcam also in the stream.
Stream is mostly setup, just need to finish doing some testing, right now I have .8mbps Upload which is apparently enough so yay :3
I encourage you guys to listen/watch in, I'll try and be as interactive as possible!

PS. I'm top Diamond in Starcraft as Zerg (with strong offrace skill also in Diamond) who likes to use a heavy macro style so I'm hoping the small amount of mechanical skill that I have may transfer over!
EDIT: here is my first game ever on Iccup, I think it went well before my macro spiraled out of control.

I just changed my stream URL since it changed and its pending moderation, I am however live on here if you want to see me test the stream/fail hopelessly at my first game while I sort everything out.

I mainly used the guide here, using the pretty basic setup.
My OS is legit w7 64bit :D

Heres a tip.
Choose map Fighting Spirit.
Kiante will 12 nex.
You should be able to work the rest out. =D

Blogs like these make me warm and fuzzy inside. Good luck learning BW. Once I get my internet connection set-up I'll be glad to play with you in the weekends. I was C- like 2 seasons ago, and haven't played much since, so probably D+ now.

Streams off for now due to problems, played 3 games! One was vs a fellow nooby which turned into a 20minute TvT! I WON! It was great :D I got some wraiths while he opted for more tank/vultures and a quicker 3rd (I think). I contained and eventually won. Replay will be given soonish.
Now I'm playing with a stream watcher who is stomping me, but also teaching me the basics. Thanks for your support so far guys, I'm loving BW :D
