First off I want to thank this particular person on EU Master League server since last night I interrupted the game and paused the game and in which he waited like 5 minutes or so while I did not gave him any particular reason other than pp brb 2 min or so AT 2:30ish AM.
And for the most stupid reason for him if he reads this is because I as the most idiotic guy I am with the weirdest tic. I forgot to brush my teeth after I showered so I felt I had to brush my teeth in middle of game so my urge to brush my teeth was so strong I did it right away. I could've done it after game but it nagged on my consciousness so I decided fuck it I just do it and hope he doesn't unpause! Once something goes on my mind I just go for it.
AND THIS GUY WAITED! AS THE GOOD MANNERED PLAYER HE WAS!!!!
I thanked him last night for waiting even though he lost the game (TvZ close positions on Typhon Peaks). I almost wanted to just tell him that I was gratefull and leave game since he waited
There's so many blogs/threads about BM players who are whining and raging so I felt a good mannered player like this guy should deserve a mention!
Oh yeah his name was Aim and don't know his identifier :p
Ok now on to my ladder progress in season 3 so far.
I've been playing worse and worse past few weeks in TvT and TvZ.
Went something like 680 points(2 weeks ago) in master league to all the way down to 380 (and I'm not kidding) to back to 600 to down to 400 to 550 today.
Was obviously in a slump but I'm now slowly getting out of that slump since I'm now playing more consistent.
I can't blame anyone other than myself since I didn't really followed a specific build order in TvT and TvZ other than just improvise each game or play very gimmicky. Every time I try to stick with a build order I just feel like I get hard countered by my opponent. Because of this feeling I tried to just cheese/1base all-in in those matchups but then realized when looking at my stats (35% TvZ and 45% TvT winrate) and replays that it won't be good in the long run.
My TvP is still at 60% which I can thank on my 1rax gasless FE lately.
After I realized I couldn't continue on just doing gimmicky plays like 2rax reaper rush or some cheese in TvT/TvZ I've been doing 1rax FE variants in all the matchups and the winrate has improved for TvZ and TvT a little bit(42% and 46%). I haven't done it as much in TvZ and TvT compared to TvP (like 90% of my games is 1rax gasless FE). So I haven't really figured out the strengths and weaknesses yet in TvZ and TvT but the results still speak for themselves as they've been showing a little improvement.
What I've noticed from my games is that the majority of my TvZ/TvT games I just overmake scv's and expand way too late to my 3rd. I would be like sitting at 70 scv's on 2base or 105 scv's on 3 base. Clearly making scv's is not my problem I guess my expand timing needs like a big load of improvement.
Most TvT games that I lose too is either because I overcommit (losing way too many hellions to try and kill scv's) or engaging in a bad spot (getting caught unsieged vs marauder/tanks) or transitioning too late like getting bc's too late in the late game air battle.
TvZ has become troublesome now since I've been losing a lot against infestor style play. It's always my fault though as I almost never make ghosts to snipe/emp the infestors. I drop too little or I drop too much sometimes (losing too many drops because of this which leads me to get behind in food if I don't do some sort of damage).
I'm sitting way too long on just marine/tank/medivac and then getting caught offguard with a tech transition like broodlords or ultra's.
I've reminded myself to make more ghosts or vikings once I see infestors or scan his hive.
I've purposely focussed on improving on this past few days and it has made my gameplay much and much easier!
Well hope you all enjoyed reading it Will probably make a new blog in few days :D Making way too many blogs imo past few weeks xD
