I'm not a Destiny guy and today marks the first time I ever saw the Reddit business go down. I was supposed to roll some LoL with a bud, but I totally ditched him to listen to those blue-switches clack away and make lines that I couldn't read. (I can only watch streams on 240p, ahaha.) I literally had no idea what he was writing beyond the few blurbs he vocalized.
It. Was. Fascinating.
I do remember when I thought watching other people online doing relatively mundane things was an impossible fantasy. I recall thinking, "Nobody would give a crap long enough to watch someone post replies." Despite that, there I was, actively choosing to watch Destiny respond to posts over actually playing a game. I love games, man. If I told this to any of my non-sc2 friends, they would think I've gone crazy. (My SCII friends automatically knew I was watching Destiny, haha.)
Maybe I should pick up science fiction and write about the near-possibility of an entertainment network centered around people doing normal things and how it creates some new family dynamic for the lonely and bored middle class future-household. (Joking. I'm an awful wordsmith.)
Anyway, I decided to (attempt to) immortalize my feelings with a doodle. Uncertainty with awkward, uneven-as-hell-eyes. Very much what I felt after he stopped. I think I'm going to make sure that a doodle makes it into every freaking blog I start. Keeps me active, motivated and, I dunno', maybe it unlocks some creative potential.
Yikes, I need some sleep for Boxer v. Yellow at 6 AM PST. Super excited, but I dread missing it. . .
P.S. My mouse is still hanging from the ceiling with weights stuffed inside. I keep looking at her and wondering whether or not I'm crazy. We'll see how kinky she is tomorrow. She better not be, or I will string her up again.

Maybe you should consider getting a hobby or something. I can't think of anything more boring than watching someone post on reddit.

You can be a doctor. You can be an engineer. And here you sit doing basically nothing.

This is a tough post to respond to. Not because I don't have hobbies, but because it is so obvious that I have hobbies that I don't know what to say.
Or maybe I'm just being weird with intertwining these hobbies together to express something. I dunno'.

you might get more sympathy if you made some effort to explain why it was so entertaining...

I don't usually judge people on what they do on their free time (I've watched ants kill each other when I was bored), but damn man I hope you didn't spend too much time on watching that.

There is one and it's called Big Brother

I don't understand the hostility in this thread, i mean ofcourse you don't like people who are different than yourself, but you must understand that this dude likes someting you don't, i mean, i don't like fish but i don't tell people who eat fish to get a new taste of food or go study instead (Apparently being a doctor or scientist makes you more of a human than living on the streets, who knew?)

People paying unneeded attention to mundane actions of shitty so called celebrities? Nothing new or futuristic about that.

You're not the only one who watched IRL ZvZ when they were kids. Of course, I have giant-as-fuck-roach-ants. They'll be the death of me.

I don't think sympathy is the right word, but it does bring up an interesting point. If the next person on the internet doesn't understand you, hostility is to be expected. Probably a good rule to go by, actually.
For your sake, however, it is entertaining because it is not engineered to be entertaining but has inexplicably entertaining elements. You have a plastic fork and a game console. I opted for the fork even though I am topping Maslow's pyramid. I'm not quite sure why the fork was so appealing in retrospect. The realization that I picked the fork was intriguing at the moment.

I don't know man. Streaming wasn't exactly in the cards back when I was reading Gamepro in the 90s. Then again, I think I made the mistake of not establishing that we're in a relatively dystopian future compared to what was laid out by the Jetsons, which what makes the whole fascination and subsequent realization have a tinge of humor upon further introspection. Either that or video games suck right now. I could've taken two approaches, but I decided on the more-obscure and less-negative variant. Definitely ate some ire as a result.

It's bizarre, yeah. I mean, it started with one shot and it's arguably easier to follow the vibe of the comments, but I actually didn't expect to evok-
I can't keep a straight face. I used Destiny's name. Even I knew that would cause the dust-devil equivalent of a shit-storm no matter the context. Maybe I deserved it. (Not really.)
