I'm guessing I just can't handle 720p. Just wanted to make sure.

SC2 supports both 16 : 9 and 16:10 and when in "windowed fullscreen" your ingame resolution and aspect will be whatever your desktop resolution is set to.

will this effect the setup of xsplit?

No. And after setup, you will have more options to utilize the region capture - ie. capture part of a windows and show that on stream.

How do i get rid of that? | ||

If the first, don't worry, it doesn't matter and also depends on your view scale factor. If the latter, adjust your aspect ratio (use same on source and destination) or stretch the image (right-click region, un-check "keep aspect" box). They do show on stream. If i uncheck the aspect ratio box they do go away but the screen looks a bit stretched, not sure how it will look on stream yet. ill check that tonight.

Example: If your input resolution is 1920x1200 (16 : 10 ratio) and want a perfect aspect ratio for 720p, your output must be set to 720*1,6=1152.

Most recent speedtest result http://speedtest.net/result/1417838296.png Xsplit settings: It broadcasts fine for a couple minutes, then the internet completely drops out on me. Once I stop the stream, the internet comes back and I can continue to play (which means it is in fact the broadcasting causing it)... this makes no sense to me... I have 3.7Mb/s upload and it cant handle broadcasting at a mere 800Kb/s? EDIT: Resolution is 1280x720 @ 30fps Computer runs fine throughout the whole process, but specs: i5 2500k @ 4Ghz 8GB DDR3 1600 EVGA GTX 460 1GB Win7

Not that it matters to your problem, but I would raise the VBV Max Bitrate to 1200 Kbit/s for better overall quality (and let the buffer have what it wants, I can see you've edited the amount). You have the upload for it. I'm not entirely convinced your problem is related to XSplit based on your post. The thing that sticks out here is your router or NIC. Either can theoretically choke during mass traffic. It's not very common but I would start diagnosing the two. First test is this: When your internet breaks down, can you still access it from another device/computer? Edit: Also, if you go back to FME does the crashes stop?

i7 920 @ 3.8GHz 6GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz GTX 275 Win 7 My resolution is at 1680x1050max and I output at 960x600 or 1280x800. My upload is 25Mb.

Yea, I tried reducing everything just to see if it would work at all, and it just wont. The odd thing is, this only really becomes an issue in games against other players. If it is just myself vs a computer, I get brief periods of lag (like 2-3 seconds of the waiting for server window). This only happens on my computer, the internet remains fine for the rest of the house. I am using a USB wireless network adapter, that is getting to be "old" in terms of technology (its like 2 years old now)... are you thinking that this could be the problem?

It's a bit weird, I'll give you that. I'm leaning towards your USB/Wifi NIC though. Are you able to test the setup with a wired connection? Also, does the problem go away if you switch back to FME?

Whenever I stream SC2 or LoL I get an awful frame rate, or at least it looks laggy to me. I have SC2 on medium and LoL at max. Allright you've given some details, but the most important "Awful frame rate" isn't very helpful nor can we give much insight without going into assumptions. Feel free to come back or jump into the before mentioned thread if you got more questions.

My router shits on me when i try to go past 1.2mb/s, So either your router cannot handle it and its old like mine or your isp is shitting on your not allowing you to get past 800kb/s upload. Its a pretty new router (about 4 months old now), a motorola surfboard xtreme I think it is... and it should be able to handle it fine as I have done FTP uploads at the full speed. I can not test with a wired connection, and I havent used FME for a long while (will have to redownload and configure, never tried configuring for JTV). Maybe I should invest in a new PCI wireless NIC... though it is strange. I can download, I can upload, I can torrent (though I severely limit torrent upload rates), but for some reason I cant stream ><

Reasonable assumptions, but he posted network speed test results plus he was able to play fine while using FME. Therefore I cannot second this idea. The router also works fine during the problems (tried+tested above), therefore it almost must be local to the computer.
