I'll drop my issues in this thread as well.
I've recieved complains all day that the stream appears to freeze every now and then, so I've tried different settings quality and bitrate settings, but regardless of settings, the stream continues to freeze.
I'm having the stream open right now as I post this, and I can see how it just act bananas. Quality is superb, but the constant freezing make it unwatchable.

CPU load hoovers at ¨~30%, and XSplit is using uploading in ¨~ 1-2mb/s. No other background applications are running.

I'd suggest starting with lower settings, to find something that does stream well, and then slowly increase settings until you hit your problem. Try starting out with 720p, 1500 kbps, xsplit default encoding quality 6, medium in-game settings, and see if the lag fixes itself. Then change one thing at a time until you hit the problem.

Lots of folks are trying to stream 1080p, but honestly as a viewer there's very little difference between 720p and 1080p. A smooth 720p stream looks better than a jerky, blocky 1080p.

I've decreased the settings to
Quality: 4
Resolution 768x432
Framerate: 15
Bitrate 400 | Buffert 800

And I'm still encounters severe freezeframes. Audio is still playing though.
I made a complete uninstall of of Xsplit (was running the dev build previously) and reverted back to an older version (RC 4), but I'm still having issues.
I've also tried streaming though FMLE to both Justin and Ustream, but again, same problem.
I'm lost

try dropping your buffer to like 100 instead of 800. I had freezing issues and i fixed them by making my buffer about 1/4 of my bitrate

What's the lowest upload speeds that you need to stream HD quality starcraft?

for 720p 1.5- 3.0 mb upload
for 1080p 3.0-5.0 mb upload

anything under 1.5 is considered in the streaming community to be 480p+

I am having an issue with xplit where my screen region doesn't show up.

I click add screen region, red crosshairs pop up, i try to select any size and nothing shows up in list of scene sources.

Any idea what it could be?

(my first time using xplit, but i've used procaster before)

I didn't think it was worth making a while nother thread for this problem. Waiting eagerly on feedback!

edit: also add title works fine, and add livestream shows up in the box (but i dont know what it does)

strangely the "settings" button in that same box does nothing when I press it.
Don't forget to get everyone you know to play HOTS so this game we love called Starcraft will live on. Every little bit helps. ^^

You gotta remember, its not just about the net for your stream, you also gotta have decent specs for encoding 720p+ while gaming on the PC and not using a capture card from a console.

A good general idea is that for some reason, JTV users would prefer to have higher quality than FPS. If you want to go with this cliche, then go ahead and deal with the lower FPS and higher standings.

If you don't have lets say an i-7, high end graphics card, and atleast 4 gigs of 1600 ddr3 ram, your very unlikely to get higher than 30 fps stream to your viewers. But as I said, this is the JTV community, who prefers quality over fps.

Actually i don't have an i7 i only have i5-2500k and i can stream EASILY with max settings/resolutions and 30+ fps

For any1 curious my specs are
i5-2500k
8 GB DDR3-1600Mhz

I just set up Xsplit following the guide here but when I hit broadcast I only got audio, no video. My Xsplit looks like the one in the OP with windows going into infinity in the middle but the stream gets nothing. Any advice?
Could it be a connection issue? My upload isn't really fast enough to stream, I'm just setting it up for when I go back to uni right now.

Did you setup an video source? (Screen capture, video file, game source, etc...).

^With that setup, you're absolutely fine.

Btw, if anyone hasn't noticed or the OP should make a nope:
your buffer size should be 1/4 of your max bitrate :p
(0.25*max_bitrate=buffer_size)

The video source is the scene source bit in the bottom left of the main Xsplit window, right? I set that up, dragging to capture the full screen, as described.

Did they fix the issue where you had to set the max buffer for the video to 4x the max bitrate as opposed to 2x?

What resolution are you using in windows? My guess would be 1920x1200, right? If that's the case, change it to 1920x1080, so that the input resolution and the output is 1:1, then stretch it to full it in Xsplit.

I'm using 1680x1050 since it doesnt go higher. Is there some way to get 1920x1080?

1680x1050 has an aspectratio of 8:5. If you want the video to cover the whole streaming frame, select a 16;9 aspect resolution.
Most streaming sites doesn't allow for other output aspects than 4:3 and 16;9. If you use any "non-standard" aspect ratios (such as 8:5, 16:10, 7:4), the screen will get borders.

I'm sorry - but it is simply wrong what you're saying (except the first sentence). Not trying to point at you, just want to set something straight
a) You should keep the same aspect for your source and the destination - doesn't matter what as long as they match.
b) XSplit and Justin.tv/twitch.tv supports 16 : 10 just fine!

The reason the stream get borders is either:
a) The source aspect is different than the stream aspect
or
b) if the stream is made in a different aspect ratio than the screen it is shown upon.

The guy can keep his 1680x1050 (16 : 10) and stream in 1280x800 or 1152x720 (also both 16 : 10). Both are available in XSplit under "Tools - Settings - Resolutions".

I play in 1440x900 (16 : 10) and stream in 1280x800 (16 : 10), If I put my stream in fullscreen on my 16 : 9 TV it has borders - if I put it on my seconday 16 : 10 monitor there are no borders. Basically if you stream a 16 : 10 picture, anyone with a 16 : 9 monitor will have borders a vice versa.

Edit:
@skogsleffe
I see borders around the entire screen? I don't think you have maximized your scene to 100%. Please post a screenshot of your XSplit window or select the region and press 1 (must not be numerical 1) which will set it to 100%. Also read what I said above and please please please post your settings when asking for help - Thank you!

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but everything above 2000kbps has extreme amounts of lag. I really don't think it's my computer or my internet since both are pretty good.
