That would be a really mean streaming rig!  . And yes, XSplit fully supports multiple cores. According to standalone benchmarks for X264 you can expect close to linear scaling when it comes to encoding performance. Capture performance does not scale as well as encoding, but there's a lot of factors going into predicting that

Still curious if you know if xsplit takes advantage of Intel hexacore chips! Haven't found any solidified information yet but I'm searching

Sorry if I was unclear before, XSplit are able to utilize every cpu core available to Windows, be that 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12 or more

Dxtory doesn't work for me, if i push F12 it just does nothing, I tried both fullscreen and fullscreen (windowed) in sc2, even tried making dxtory window active while pushing F12, nothing works. SC2 does show up in target tab in dxtory, and green frame counter is displayed, it just won't turn yellow or start recording.

GTX 560Ti
For some reason, whenever I stream with an output of 720p or more, my in-game frame rate goes down to below 60. Anything below that, and it's smooth sailing for the most part, any idea why?

Can you check your temperatures? A i5 2500k even at stock can stream 720p.....

What version are you using? For a test, try enabling 'File output', if you can enable DXtory then, you might be using a old version, since it was a previous "bug" (look back on page 1-2ish).

It could be due to the preset? What's yours? And stream FPS? Are you allowing Aero to be on? Is any core on your cpu maxed? And finally, to give me a point of reference, at what settings can you stream comfortably?

i have a i5 2500k too with 4,5 Ghz
8GB RAM
and a GTX 560 ti 448c
i play on 1680x1050 on medium-medium and when i stream i have at the beginning of the game 90 or 100 ~ fps but i see on my scv´s that they are a bit laggy and its really annoying even if i have over 60+ fps dont understand why ~

That's input lag (and probably unrelated to GTR's post). Usually fixed by adjusting the Aero mode to match the capture method, or through changing the capture method (try GameSource or Dxtory). Aero should be off for Screen Regions and on for the others. You can confirm the issue by lowering your stream FPS to 1 and monitor you scv's. Note when you do these tests, always remove and re-add the item from the XSplit scene and preferably test on a clean presentation.

I get choppiness and lag whenever I click "broadcast live", when I do that, my frame rate drops dramatically, to anything from 20 to 30 at max, and is unplayable, without going live I still get somewhat around 60 FPS.
My upload speed is around just under 1 MB.
The bit rate for xsplit is 600. I try streaming in 720 HD, but its so laggy when live, even when dropping frame rate to 15 in xSplit, you still feel the lag, streaming at 480p is much smoother at full FPS on xsplit, but still noticeable.
Is there anyway to stream at 720p without choppiness?

Since you barely have the bitrate needed for 720p, I would highly recommend to stay at 480p or perhaps the better option for you 540p.
What's your preset setting? And is your cpu (any core) maxed when broadcasting?

does anyone know what causes this? talking about the black flickering. is there a set of reccommended sc2 settings i should use with xplit?
i can stream on xplit at a very high quality but when i start a game of sc2 it lags and does the flickering as what was in that vid. also my actual game will be very stuttery and laggy, is this a problem with sc2?

edit: also want to add that as long as i am not tabbed to sc2 (fullscreen) everything is fine. but as soon as i alt tab back into sc2 my stream gets laggy and starts stuttering

i saw some that have a clear stream even on full screen on stream and would also have it like that

Anyone had a problem in Xsplit where adding the camera doesn't do anything? File, add camera, Dxtory video 1 and nothing appears in the scene sources box. Directshow output is enabled and so is virtual camera output in Xsplit (if that makes a difference)
If you know how to fix this let me know

Never happened to me but you can try re-installing the program, might fix the problem i am not sure.

What in-game FPS should I expect with xsplit+dxtory? I'm getting ~25 FPS during big battles which seems ... low EDIT: when not streaming I get 55-60FPS on the same scene. 50% drop seems unexpectedly high.
quad-core i7 2600 w/ hyperthreading
GTX 560
game gfx: medium + high shaders + medium effects
resolution: 1920x1200
preset: veryfast + a few custom tweaks to reduce CPU.
quality: 10+ (remember, higher is worse/less CPU)
output: 1280x800
VBV bitrate: 3500kbps
Utilization while streaming a replay:
Xsplit.core.exe: 17-20%
SC2.exe: 15%
VHMultiWriter.exe: 5-10%
Do I have any options to improve framerate w/o sacrificing quality? Can I try to force xsplit to use more threads?
