personally, i keep checking this thread in hopes someone bumped it saying that he's streaming again... but that never seems to be the case.
No? His stream would still be featured here.
i know chill said otherwise but i perfectly remember him being temp banned many times before (because hes idrA haha) and whenever he streamed it would not show up in the featured streams list or even in the non featured list, we had to go to his twitter to check whenever he was streaming and he lost a lot of traffic. can i get clarification?
I'm 100% sure that, when he was banned before, you couldn't see his stream on teamliquid. I remember having to leave his stream page up in the background to make sure I'd know when he started.
They don't remove the ability for people to see your stream when you are temp banned. However users cannot interact with their accounts while banned, and therefore cannot set their streams to live. Since there is no automatic stream checking and the user can't set their status to online, if idra wanted to "go live" he would have to contact a mod who would then have to set his stream on and offline. (iirc)
I'm not sure if you can send pm's while banned though, so I'm not sure how a normal user would do this without irc and just waiting for a mod to show up.
Would you want to beg a mod to put your stream up right after they banned you for something as trivial a saying "waste of life"?
Any reason the fanclub thread is still closed ? It was closed because of excesive complaining. Yet all complaining was simply put in this thread. The noise seems to have settled and his ban is over already (atleast by my estimate).

Idra being banned on TL doesn't affect his ability to stream. Teamliquid and Justin.tv aren't related. He has streamed before while being banned on TL. We could easily turn his stream online despite him being banned.
He's just being childish and spiteful. Not streaming is just his choice.
Who is actually causing the drama here chill? The discussion was pretty much over on this thread and suddenly out of nowhere you just have to call Idra childish and spiteful negating anything being said in this thread. You should know that this divides the community between team liquid ( represented here by you since you are a moderator) and Idra

LOL that replay is going straight on my favorite on youtube! IdrA is such a baller man, how can you not be a fan
So mods are now openly calling IdrA "childish and spiteful" (true as it may be), and yet, I can see IdrA's fanclub thread (of which I'm not a member) is still closed...
Why is it still closed, if not to be spiteful? IdrA is spiteful, Cruncher is spiteful (just less honest about it), and now maybe TL is being a bit spiteful. I'd like to see TL be taken out of that equation.
All this kind of talk does is widen the controversy. I'm less than impressed with all this. Cruncher basically admitted to "sniping" him in a stream, giving a little "wink" in the process. Proof or not, it was shady behavior - and certainly not friendly. Sometimes a wink and a smile is the worst kind of insult, which makes me appreciate the direct bad-manners of IdrA a lot more..
So how about letting this whole thing slide, TL, instead of putting in your two cents with rhetorical comments and fanclub lockdowns? Stay out of controversy, swallow your pride a bit, and maybe you won't force fans to choose between their favorite players and their favorite forum.

Or would that be "childish"?
1.) Team Liquid closed his fan club because it would of been a shit storm, the stream thread is far less important as it has a lot more discussion about random things involving his stream. His fanclub, on the other hand, they actually CARE about. Instead, you think they want to harm it or something because idrA was banned.
2.) Sniping is absolutely not shady behavior what so ever, and there is absolutely no arguing this. He wanted to play idrA, and he posted at the same time as idrA did, and it worked. Good for him.
GunZ was an amazing game that actually showed who posted and at what time, so you could actually play the good players quite often. Why you think "sniping" is bad is beyond me.
3.) You're offended by smiley faces, yet not when idra calls a fellow competitor a "waste of life". Your moral compass is currently broken.

Yet again look at IdrA's ban log...he has run out of favors on this site, time for him and TL to part ways.

Who says he was banned for something trivial? The reason he was banned was stated at the top of this thread, he was acting childish. Calling a fellow competitor a "waste of life" is not appropriate for anyone on TL, I know because I've been banned for it before .
He also has a ban list the size of the sun, they are being very lenient on punishing him.
Oh yeah, by the way, he was only banned for two days.

I never said I was offended by either of those things, I just accept that both CAN be offensive.
"Your moral compass is broken" is exactly the kind of phrase that isn't directly bad-mannered in the way "waste of life" is, and yet is just as insulting if not more-so due to the snide nature of the comment. So thanks for letting me continue to make my point.
And yes, I know IdrA has a bad post history. But, again, that's beside the point.
Is TL the place where mods call pro-players "childish" when there are disagreements? That's all I want to know.
EDIT: And I don't even mind that IdrA got banned further just now.
That's fine. That's TL handling business, and they state why. They have their reasons.
Being "childish" isn't a reason to ban someone. It's meaningless and inflammatory rhetoric, and if I said it, I'd be rightly banned.

1.) Thanks for ignoring the rest of my points, just kidding, that was rude. 2.) Saying your moral compass is broken isn't even close to saying that someone is a waste of existence. 3.) You saying idrA's bad post history is beside the point doesn't make it true. You're on the most outer edge of the wrong spectrum. It's definitely a factor here. As I have said a million and one times, they have been extremely lenient for what shit he's given them. 4.) Yes, the administrators can do what ever they want here, because this is their site, this is their forum, and idrA is a big boy they know personally, he can take it.

You're arguing with a strawman, repeatedly. And repeatedly.
I ignored most of your points because they have nothing to do with what I'm saying.
That's not rude at all. Sorry if you think it is.
I have no disputes with TL's right to ban IdrA, I just dispute them using inflammatory rhetoric.
it's amazing to me how dumb some posters seem to be. I mean, accusing cruncher is one thing, debating wether there was cheating is one thing. but insulting and attacking mods is just ridiculous. im glad to see all that red writing in this thread.

Are you serious ? Do you know who IdrA is ? I mean, temp banning him is one thing, but banning him would be pretty silly, he is one of the major figure in the SC2, whether you like it or not.
Ohh Idra, this makes me more of a fan of you, it just shows how awesome you are <3
I love your stream, wish you were still streaming
The TL staff wouldn't get such abuse if they stopped treating TL.net as a dictatorship, them being the Dictator.
And now for pointing that out I'm going to get 'warned' for this post, so I'll help you and I'll put the text there for you so you just need to make it red
