Midas is used because the hero needs a good gold/level balance (due to how timing-dependent he is with being effective during night time, you want your levels to keep pace with the game just as much as your gold). Midas evens out your gold/level distribution a bit in games where you ended up with a bunch of gold, but low level (e.g. couldn't find farming time, got kills in ganks, but usually had XP split 3-4 ways). It's hard for a new player to really use it effectively because you sort of have to play the hero a bunch to get a feel for where that ideal gold/XP balance is. | ||

Although it might have been different if I'd gotten a fast Headdress and completed mek before force staff. And I'd also made the call to get a value Ring of Basilius for tower-seiging. | ||

Also: The first sentence of the Necronomicon description has an extra "with Necronomicon" at the end. "Venomancer is a support hero with an incredible made for ganking at level 1 and an ultimate" "With the first level in Venomous Gale, goes are slowed" | ||

Basilius, Wand and int kept up with everything; full plague ward spam is only 4 mana per second, basilius is .65, int is about 1.3, I'm only spamming wards about half the time, and Gale only gets used in fights where I can recover the mana used from wand charges. Even if I do need to go full ward spam, I can sustain it for about two minutes from my base mana while still keeping enough in reserve for a Gale. So in practice, health sustain was more of a limiting factor than mana with no Mek. | ||

I will say that Necro is needless and Eul's sounds better. Ghost Scepter as well lvl 10-11 = 718 mana 125 (Q) + 200 (ult) + 225 (meka) typically 5 wards placed (100) 650 mana out of 718 | ||
