Well, I would just like to point out that he has an OC'ed two year old i7 950. In my humble opinion an i7 2600k is more than able to handle sc2+streaming, an i7 950 will easily get maxed (if and) once you mess with the "preset" configuration even in 720p. I would recommend dTox to monitor latency and temperatures to figure out where the problems comes from (Use "Task Manager/Resource Manager" to monitor CPU usage and latency and some 3rd party tool to monitor the temps of CPU and GPU. I'd also like to ask him, if this behavior began when he started to use Dxtory, and if it happens when not streaming (sorry if I missed those answers somewhere).

That's ok though ![]() You also said you monitored the FPS and it was constant 50-60 right? I think you need to be sure if this is the case. Use the CTRL+ALT+F feature. Do not mess the the preset on you stock cpu. Finally (again), are you having these issues when not streaming and when not using dxtory?

Usually sits around 80-120 in-game before i hit the record button, then it usually drops down to a solid 60-90. Sometimes dropping below 50 but rarely. Usually this is when it starts to feel sluggish. Nope, game runs fine when im not streaming, its only when i hit 'Broadcast' that the FPS drops and i start to feel the sluggish behaviour, but again, not always. EDIT: Well i just played without anything else open and watched the FPS. I'm a little boggled, as i run most things on medium bar a few things on high, and my average FPS is like 60-80, and it even drops a bit lower during fights. This makes no sense, as that's pretty weak for my computer IMO. I wonder if it is purely an FPS related issue that is magnified when streaming. Can you try repairing Sc2 if that will make any difference ? This for sure is ur PC problem and not the streaming. As well try some game like Crysis if you have or more CPU intense game and see if oyu get some bad performance in them. It might help you see where the problem is.

You should never experience slow-down when you're above 50fps, only below 30, unless SC2 is coded differently. Sounds like standard latency/bottlenecked internet to me? You should monitor the latency during a long game and especially when it "lags". A quick test would be to play a offline game vs. the AI via the "Single Player" menu. Do you feel the random sluggish behavior there?

If i have File Output unchecked it will not even start. i have tried many different hotkeys, even normal keys such as W, A, S, D, all Fnumber keys. But directshow does work if i have file output selected. Unfortunately i don't have enough hard drive space to have file output selected every time i want to stream. Does anyone know what is wrong? Thanks I have same problem. Any fix?

The sound output in the stream is horribad and sound extremely strange Well Dxtory only captures the video, so that is not related to this thread. ![]() From the XSplit point of view, check your audio settings - see this thread: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=195391
