Thanks for the update. I think it is important to repeat that streaming will affect your overall gaming experience. Dxtory definitely makes it a lot less noticeable, but it cannot be compared to playing while not streaming. I'm starting to think you are in the very sensitive group of gamers that notices even small amounts of FPS drops and latency issues. The effects of streaming are very subjective and some just get used to the extra input lag and FPS drops ![]() To your question about picture quality, I'll state the resolution is the primary factor here. It is extremely difficult to get a crisp 540p picture, simply because most viewers watch it on their 1080p monitor - upscaling is not pretty no matter what. If your gaming standards require you to lower your resolution to 540p, you shouldn't expect high picture quality, but my advice would be to increase the 'preset' settings to 'medium' or slower (try out several and observe cpu usage), increase the upload speed to (even more) near max and set 'quality' to 10. Dxtory doesn't support the "optimize text feature" that XSplit has, which is what your asking for, to make text look sharper - I'm guessing those streams you are refering to, does not use Dxtory? Hope this helps answer your questions.

Try un-installing, and install the latest .109 version. You might wanna check your GPU drivers as well... if nothing else helps, I would write the Dxtory author.

I have a Phenom II 700e that I oc'd to 3.0 GHz (which is still bad) and I stream in 720p with no problems at all. If you dont believe me, go check out some of my vods. I don't think that is the problem, it's more like that people have different expectations. When you run XSplit - just running it, not streaming, no matter your CPU, you will suffer FPS drops of about half what you have when it's not running - Dxtory helps on that, but still streaming is immensely CPU intensive and as such your overall gaming experience will suffer (if you know where to look) - as I said, for some that is a deal-breaker, for some it just takes some getting used to. Also, streaming is still in its infancy and mostly you cannot just plug-n-play and have great results - those people that do not have the patience to try every single combination of settings or have the technical insight, are usually the ones with "issues" that write in threads like this ![]() Edit: Just watched one of your VODs. Your stream is really nice and you obviously hit some good settings. But it's not perfect - ie. the SCVs are skipping over the ground (unit movement is not smooth). Still gj on the quality and all ![]()

Thanks for the general input this was what I was looking for ![]() Edit: The numbers arent turning orange when I press F12. I've tried running both programs on admin and they still wouldn't record. I've also tried fullscreening and what not and it still didn't work. I've got the same settings as the video, (only changed the resolution) so... what gives?
