So far I know that I mostly want full size keyboard (but that's not super required) with Cherry brown switches - as they seem to be the perfect landing zone for new users. From my research I have these three candidates: Das Keyboard - Model S Ultimate, Cooler Master Storm Quick Fire Pro. Any ideas beside these three? Opinions?
I just want some additional feedback before I order anything. Thanks in advance ;] cm qf xt http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823129022
and if you're ok with no numpad, then cm qfr, which also has the advantage of being like $65 http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-Rapid-Mechanical/dp/B0068INSUM (and sometimes cheaper on sale)

Does anyone know where I could buy a KeyCool 84 key keyboard with brown switches, one like this one: http://imgur.com/a/DeYVI , but either grey or black (I also *do not* want it to be backlit)? Anywhere I look it's either out of stock or not shipping to Poland (mostly out of stock though).

so ive been having a few issues lately with my keyboard. got it earlier this year called mstone and what ive noticed is that the keys are a little unresponsive during games. it works perfectly when typing and stuff, but when playing games (most notably brood war or dota 2), a key doesnt register. i dont ever have this problem with older keyboards, but then again none of them were mechanical so... with brood war my biggest problem is when cycling through production buildings i will often find that some of them dont actually start production because my key didnt register. similar stuff for dota, items or skills not being pressed. i dont think its just me being bad because i never have these issues at pc bangs or with previous keyboards, and when typing i hardly ever miss a key. any thoughts?

I just purchased a CM Storm keyboard after reading several reviews this morning. I've been quite attached to this 12 year old HP keyboard, but it's gross and it's long past time to get something new.
Unlike some, I do still want the 10 key numpad as well as the insert/delete like on a standard keyboard. I don't see a reason for me to have those compact versions, unless I want the numpad closer to my left hand, as opposed to reaching past the arrow/delete/insert area, but if I were that serious about, say DotA, I'd just customize the item hotkeys.
It's been years of using a keyboard where I can only input 3 keys at a time, except for some reason I can only hit "e" and one other key at once, which has made diagonal-right strafing an issue all these years, as I generally would need to hit a third key (1-8) playing WoW, for example.
Scanning back a couple pages I certainly don't see anyone bashing CM keyboards + Show Spoiler +On October 04 2013 08:32 DjRetro wrote: Hello guys, i just got the new cmstorm tk keyboard, and well, i'm absolutely in love with it, it's beautiful, cheap, 5 brightness levels... everything you could need as a gamer.
THis is my second mechanical keyboard, i really love the red switch. It's a weird feeling but a good weird. The enter key is really easy to press which I am not used to but it is good because I always had trouble reaching it and pressing it firmly on my other keyboard. I can tell that it's going to be a breeze to play StarCraft with it. The keys are very responsive and it is easy to bottom them out I feel but that's not a biggie for me.
So, are there any of the filco/ducky users that can convince me I need to get those instead (when I'm already getting a pretty big upgrade)?
P.S.--taking a nap, then going straight to work, so thanks in advance if I don't respond any time soon.

That CM keyboard doesn't have the same great reputation as the quickfire rapid but its still a decent keyboard. As long as it isn't too expensive then its a good buy.

Has anyone else had reliability issues with their Razer Blackwidows? I don't know how or why but for some reason after 10 months of use I have issues where they have keys just stop working. Its because of my experience with this product family that I've sworn off razer boards for good now and bought a steel series 6GV2 which arrived today. I've also had problems with Razer mice, My naga's both started to ghost click, and my Mamba wireless is now bricked. I don't get it, after years of quality products like my original Diamondback the only thing that I have working good that is a razer product is my megaladon and my Vespula mouse pad.

Mine broke after a year and half. It's such a good keyboard I bought another one... I bought the second one with a 40 year warranty. I'm a huge fan of Razer mice. I'm using the Razer Deathadder, and I think this mouse is perfect, and so I bought another Deathadder, and now I use both.
The Razer Blackwidow does have its reliability issue, but realize how cheap the keyboard is compared to other mechanical keyboards. 6GV2 is a good keyboard too. Enjoy!

Yeah I figured as much I owned the original Blackwidow it was a good board until something got spilled on it which was my fault. My next board was a Blackwidow Ultimate and its keys stopped working for some reason, rather then give up on Blackwidows because one died and I was at fault and another had a manufacturers defect I purchased a Blackwidow ultimate 2013 edition and the D key stopped registering keystrokes 100% of the time. I popped the key cap off cleaned the area and it wasn't that dirty put it back on issue came back a few days later. Tried cleaning it again and no dice its just buggered at this point. I also have a Deathadder as a back up mouse as well as a Contagion by Rat but my mamba although bricked due to battery reliability issues is my primary. I just don't know what to make of it at this point. And it would be suspicious on my part I believe to RMA 3 razer products at a time, so I've moved on maybe I'll revisit them a few years from now.
As for its price point I agree it is alot cheaper then alot of its competition but at the same time the steel series I replaced it with was 30$'s cheaper then the Ultimate and other then the backlighting which I turned off the macro's keys were all that separated it and I didn't make use of those either due to issue with synapse.
I never thought after owning the original G13, a G19, and 3 blackwidows my ultimate choice would become a plain Jane Steelseries.

Just want to post my experience with mechanical keyboards with ulnar nerve damage in my left arm. I keep reading about its easier to push a button on a mechanical keyboard than membrane, not true for me. My left 3 fingers shake while holding buttons on a mechanical and not so with a membrane. I own 2 mechanical keyboards, noppoo choc mini 84 red switch, razer stealth 2013 brown switch. Just my 2 cents.

Surprising to hear that about the red switch.

Well, you see cherry MX isn't the only mechanical switch around. Then there's the staggered layout, perhaps it's not for you, there are ergonomic boards too, membrane and mechanical alike.

Any Austrian mechanical keyboard enthusiasts around here?
I love mechanical keyboards and had a few already (I love red switches the most), and now I'm thinking of getting my "final" one for now .. the keyboard itself isn't the biggest hurdle for me, but I would love to get a black-white checkered one (just because I think it looks absolutely awesome, and yes I know I "only" need keycaps for that, that's why the keyboard itself isn't the biggest hurdle for me), but hell, in Austria it's so ridiculously hard to get anything keyboard / cherry mx wise, without having to pay (too) much for shipping ..
Any tips or obvious stuff I'm missing?

Sorry to ask something like this :D
I am looking for shops in South Korea (if possible Daegu) where i can buy mechanical Keyboards and preferable try them. Cause i went to Technomart in Seoul and i only found membran Keyboards or mechanical Keyboards of brands i have never heard before.... Or is it easier to order online?
Can someone help me?
