I'd imagine that those are RGB LED lights, but I'm not positive. I think it looks very cool as a showcase, but I don't think I'd like to play on a keyboard like that despite my love for backlit keyboards and desire for multiple LEDs. What Honey said in his earlier post about changing individual key's LEDs is what I'd truly want more than anything. On June 20 2013 23:57 Wohmfg wrote: Yeah definitely a bargain! I agree, if you need a barebones board with backlighting, you can't beat that price On June 21 2013 02:38 exousia_7 wrote: Anyone here use a Cherry G80-3000?? looks overpriced to me. You can get a CM storm for way less. The Cherry also looks really dated and bulky

The CM keyboards are 70-90 €. If there's all the different Chinese brands in Taiwan available, those keyboards should all be better. There should be something for a good price, but plate mounted, better looking design, and n-key rollover.

One thing TL has taught me is how much hardware prices vary wildly from region to region. I still think it's blocky and ugly. There are quite a few alps-switch boards that are very solid and very cheap out there. I've always wanted to pick up a tenkeyless board with complicated black alps.

Cherry sells a lot of special keyboards with the same overall shape, programmable extra keys, a card scanner etc. Those are keyboards for industry and cash registers or something. That may be why it's so bulky.
