Yeah you are in basically the same situation i was in a while ago when i wanted to get my first mechanical, i really wanted a TKL with blue switches but that left me with two options, ordering a CM QFR from america and wait half a month and pay about 130 bucks sans import taxes and customs or get a Filco that cost way way more but would be on my doorstep in only 3 days because it came from the UK without any hassle. In the end i went with the Filco and even though i don't know if i would recommend spending that much money on your first mechanical i can say that i'm very pleased with it, and that i'd probably do it again. If you're spending close to or over 100 bucks on a keyboard chances are you're going to be using it for a very long time, and you want to make sure that it's as good as can be. I'd say go for the QFR, unless you're really strapped for money.

It's all up to preference really, they are very loud and have a noticeable tactile bump so people tend to not like them for FPS games but i really haven't had any problems. They are still way way better than any membrane keyboard.

I need advice. I want to get my first mechanical keyboard (well I had mechanical before when those were the only ones on the market) but I am really short on money so I want to get a cheap one. I don't play FPS games, I like rpgs and other slower games (last games I played were xcom and swtor and soon bgee). I might play HotS in MP when it comes out. I also like to type a lot on the internet in the forums and such.
I am very limited in mechanical keyboard choice in my country. I get to choose between COOLERMASTER STORM QuickFire Rapid Black (81Euro/105$), or COOLERMASTER STORM QuickFire Rapid Red (84Euro/109$) or COOLERMASTER STORM QuickFire Pro Red (90Euro/116$). Any of these good for me?
Anyone know a seller in Europe that got decent cheap mechanical keyboards about the same price as these or cheaper?

Can someone describe me the actual sound of Razer Blackwidow STEALTH ? I ordered it and from what I've heard on some streams it sounds like "little clicky" reds. I mean, its not as clicky as the Blue Switch Razer BW, but it has this click. Not sure about it however, thats why I ask someone who actually own it.

If you don't need to know all the special characters placement, then it doesn't matter since you can just choose how the computer responds to a keystroke (ie. US or Nordic), however if you like me can't remember where " ', $ / " and so forth are located without looking on your keyboard, you will be royally screwed.
US layout Nordic Layout

I meant the big ass enter combined with something that resembles a US layout with a normal left shift and the \\ next to right shift instead of over the small enter. It's weird.

I use a CM storm quickfire rapid w/ blues for Starcraft. I think maybe browns might have been nicer, but they're so hard to find. I am definitely happy with them, there's nothing really wrong with blues for RTS imo.

If your finger still stay rested on the key, this is muffled. It's only really loud if you are typing text, not when gaming on the WASD keys, for example.

Big thanks man Im sure what I've heard on streams, most pro's hammer the keys and dont rest fingers on keys (due to high apm). I had Cherry MX Black, Blue's and also Kailh Reds (Cherry wanna-be, 50g force) and I was looking for something between black and blue's. I hope I picked good keyboard with good switches. Thanks

So even though I'm absolutely in love with my Filco majestouch with mx browns, I saw a sale at Fry's Electronics today for the 'new' (no huge logos allover the keyboard) coolermaster quickfire tenkeyless (mx blues) for only $59.95. Do I need another keyboard? Absolutely not! But I've always wanted to mess around with blues and the coolmasters are insanely cost efficient at $60. I can't wait to play with my new toy. Even if I end up using the Filco in the end, I can put this guy to use somehow! Very excited to get off work and try it out.

Does anyone know any uk sellers of the 6vg2 with reds? I'm close to picking up my first mechanical board, but its the 6vg2 with blacks for a decent price but if I can get one with reds I'd much prefer!
