Or is pinging an email to these guys (WASD keyboards) for a custom cangjie layout a better choice?

Thinking about it again, although I've heard a lot of good things about Ducky, the ANSI layout may really bug me (used that for a while before). I also find it quite difficult to find the spec of keyboard with a cangjie layout, and was wondering if it'd be a good idea to just get a more ISO-friendly, and easier to come across in the UK, brand then replace the keycaps? I assume keycaps aren't that hard to match (as long as they're Cherry MXs?) as I don't want to go on a wild goose chase for them later if I get a keyboard. Or is pinging an email to these guys (WASD keyboards) for a custom cangjie layout a better choice? Sure, if ANSI layout is a dealbreaker that sounds like a good plan. Almost all cherry MX are compatible, WASD have a page on their website showing the noncompatible keys on some keyboards. I dunno if WASD or ebaying some chinese caps would be cheaper.

Currently considering this design http://www.komplett.dk/k/ki.aspx?sku=761192 or http://www.komplett.dk/k/ki.aspx?sku=768799 The second option seems nice, plus they will sell it with all switch types (black, red, blue, brown). I currently have a 6gv2 with blacks so I am considering having another switch-type to have something to switch between ![]()

Their Black Friday deal is pretty incredible, thinking about grabbing one. It's exactly what I want pretty much (layout, reds, backlit, no macro keys or stupid gimmicks), more just curious about build quality as I haven't really heard of the brand.

Anyways, I was looking at the CM Storm Quickfire Pro, and from all the reviews I've read (on newegg), the only problem I kept reading about was connecting the USB cable to the keyboard. Basically people are saying that they plug it in and it just doesn't work, doesn't get recognized by their computer, etc... So that worries me a little bit. I also noticed that out of these people complaining, any time someone mentioned their OS, they were using Windows 7, which is what my computer is running. So that worries me some more! Can anyone shed some light on this situation? if you have/had a CM Storm Quickfire Pro? What about the USB cable? What OS do you have? Thanks TL, I'd really appreciate it!

Whats my first opinions about that? First of all, its really worth buying it. Of course, you do not get something high quality like Das or Filco, but is just piece of good, solid keyboard. Its heavy, weight around 1kg. Second, it doesnt have Cherry MX switches. You get switches called Kailh (kaith?) in red color. The force needed to activate them is something around 50g, so just like the Cherry MX Blue - but you do not hear that clicky noise and tactile feedback - just same force to activate it. I had Steelseries 6gv2 with Cherry MX Black, and my fingers starts to hurt after like 4-5 hours of playing/typing, but that doesnt happen when using this Zalman. So im really happy with those Kaith switches, even if they dont last as long as cherry mx (20 mln keystrokes instead of 50 mln) Third, they can call it "quiet", but anyone who watches IdrA/Machine/anyoneusingcherrymxblackorred stream knows that it is not quiet at all. Just sound same as Black or Red switches from most popular switch producer. Fourth, im really happy that its 10keyless. The keyboard doesnt require much space, which is perfect for my small space on desk. For me its perfect for traveling etc, just like the Blackwidow Tournamnet - but I think Zalman is smaller. Last but not least, Id like to say that it doesnt look as durable like ss 6gv2, and Im holding myself to not hit it after taking another 3 immo or 2 rax allin in Hots Beta. So, taking all into summary, those are advantages and disadvantages of this keyboard. + nice sound - at least for me, I just love it + Nice feeling, keys are not hard as Cherry MX black but only a little bit heavier than Reds + Its Cheap and u get what you're paying for + Small and perfect for travelling to Barcrafts or Lans with friends + Mid-Heavy (much heavier than common Keyboard, but not heavy as steelseries 6gv2 or Razer BW) so it doesnt move when you're playing + Perfect for playing and typing (at least for me) - its not as durable as Keyboards with Cherry MX switches - For some people not having numpad is problem - It doesnt look as durable as Steelseries 6gv2 or TT Meka G1 and Im sure its not a tank which can hate many ragehits, so take this into consideration if you're playing Zerg (specially vs Protoss) or Terran (TvZ and TvP). Thats all folks, thanks for reading this small review! I hope I helped anyone who was thinking about investing in this (at least at beggining of sell) no-name keyboard.

Newegg bopped down their Rosewill Blue Switches down to $60. Has anyone had issues with the mini-USB port on the Rosewill mech keyboards? There seems to be a lot of complaints on this Achilles heel of their otherwise solid build.

The ripster has spoken. But weren't the iOne manufactured backlit keyboards known for failing? 3 years ago with the Scorpius M10 yes. But it's not like the Chinese haven't learned how to tune a wave solder machine. You should take ALL GeekWhack information with a grain of salt. All the keyboard pros left that place LONG ago to the key collecting 15 year old noobs. ![]()

I wrote a review regarding CM QFP on last page but... yeah it is not DOA. You just have to give it extra force to put it in. Very nice keyboard and works like a champ right outta box. Plug and play! I am on Win 7 64 bit.
