I will order the stuff tomorrow, hope it all works :o

As long as you have a quality unit, power should be the least of your concerns. CPU overclocking is recommended to be done through the BIOS but it can also be done through Windows software.

Please use a capable thermal solution for the CPU. The fan provided by intel (if you buy the "boxed" version) will not be good for your ears when you overclock.

Currently running it at 4.9GHz 1.4V, max temps after 12hrs of Prime95 is 73-76 celsius between all cores, no errors. Should I stress test some more or consider this stable? While is stable, you are wearing your system with those voltage settings. I recommend to stay below 1.35 V.

That cooler looks sufficient. If you plan to stream your games, buy the 2600K. If you don't want to go into video encoding, save money with the 2500K.

It's generally accepted that insufficient testing has been done on this to prove one way or the other that you'll see a significant decrease in lifespan over a reasonable PC lifespan, assuming temperatures are fine. That's high, but if his temps are fine and he's stable, he's not too likely to blow anything up, particularly using turbo OC on SB, especially if he's using speedstep and the like for normal use. Current technology, unless he's crunching heavily across all threads the majority of the time, it's not even running anywhere near those numbers unless it needs to.

It's smaller than the difference between desktop AMD HD 6870 and HD 6850, which is not a big deal. The 6990M and 6970M are actually using the desktop 6870 and 6850 GPUs, with those same respective configurations, but the difference in clock speeds (nominally) between 6990M and 6970M is smaller than between 6870 and 6850. I just want to know for personal knoledge, I have a amd dual core 3.1 hz , pretty old, but i am just wondering if its possible. If your motherboard has the hardware for it (and if it allows you to), then generally yes. Overclocking is done by changing the frequency of a certain clock speed, generally called BCLK, or changing the CPU clock speed multiplier. The processor's frequency is the multiplier multiplied by BCLK. -k or -x suffix (or AMD Black Edition) processors allow you to change the multiplier; others these days do not. The answer would be yes for your processor, since you can change the BCLK. Some recent Intel systems allow for very limited overclocking without a -k or -x suffix model, since BCLK cannot be significantly adjusted without having the system fail, because in this situation the BCLK is shared between some other systems that will not work properly unless run at close to the nominal speed.

Get the 500w Antec Earthwatts out of those three. The HDD is pretty slow for gaming off of, you want a 7200RPM drive, 16MB cache, at least. You don't need SATA3 for an HDD, either.
