OS: Windows 7 64 bit
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Processor: Intel Core i7 3770K processor 3.5 4 LGA 1155 BX80637I73770K
Power Supply: CORSAIR Professional Series 750w
RAM: Corsair ddr31 16gb
Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 1024 MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 2DVI/Mini-HDMI SLI Ready Graphics Card, 01G-P3-1460-KR
So I still have the same hard drive and i reinstalled windows 7 on my new build which consists of everything i mentioned. So I started installing my motherboards drivers, and then i put in the CD for my graphics card drivers. I forgot to connect the 2 pci 6 connectors to my graphics card so i plugged that in and then when i start my computer it doesn't show anything on the monitor, but if i unplug the pci connectors and leave the graphics card in the motherboard slot it will run off the processors graphics and i can see stuff, i tried installing the drivers then but it says that it cannot detect the graphics hardware...
Does anyone know how I can fix this issue?

Thanks guys another question: A few days ago I took my comp over to a technician and he found out that my Windows 7 wasn't genuine without even bypassing the login screen... do you guys know how he detected my pirated Windows 7 without even logging in?

The Ultimate Steal is the program where Microsoft sells you a Windows 7 upgrade DVD? Unless Microsoft has change their policies, the Windows 7 upgrade DVD works just like a full version. You just need to change a registry key which you can find on Google.
Again, perhaps they have changed their policy with upgrade DVDs.

Pretty dumb question but if I remove a SATA drive from my comp that has only data files (movies music etc.), with the actual OS being on a different drive, and then format the drive the has the OS on it, and hook up the the SATA drive with data again, it won't ask me to format that data drive will it? In other words, my comp should just detect the drive as if nothing had happened even though the OS drive was freshly formatted?

Yeah but then how did he know that it was pirated? O.o

Maybe because you told him something that would make him know that it was pirated, like you couldn't download windows updates. derp

You don't need to remove the drive though, just format and install on the correct drive .

After installing my GPU drivers my PC no longer recognizes the Monitor as if I turned the monitor on when the PC is off. It does display everything while it's booting but when it's finished booting the screen goes black. What damn stupid mistake did I make? It is plugged in by the way. After starting with a clean windows install the procedure has been the following. 1- Install LAN Driver from the Motherboard CD 2- Install Anti Virus 3- Run Windows Update 4- Install GPU Driver 5- Problems What happens if you boot in safe mode? I can boot in safe mode. Not sure what use that is because I can't access the ATI Catalyst Control center through there. For the record: I am using an ATI HD5850 on a Windows 7 64bit machine which means that these should be the appropriate drivers: link. Try uninstalling the drivers in safe mode and reinstall them. You could try an older version as well. It sounds like a driver issue to me.

You have to be pretty stupid to install hardware incorrectly. I can see people screwing up the installation of the CPU cooler, some of which have some pretty arcane mounting hardware and base design (i.e. Hyper 212+, hope the designer got a stern dressing down for its creation). I can also see people forgetting to plug something in but neither of these two examples will fry a computer.
Some plugs may fit both ways but only one way will physically snap into the socket. If you understand this, you should be able to figure out if you're installing hardware incorrectly. Besides that, just read instructions.

I just touched the top of my i5 processor and left a very faint finger print will the heat transfer screw up?

It could, in a miniscule way, have an effect. Use some isopropyl rubbing alcohol, highest concentration you can get, and either gauze pads or coffee filters to clean it when you need to. Neither of those will leave crap behind.

Is it better to connect case fan direct to mobo or to the PSU?

That depends on if you want the fan running constantly (PSU), or if you want to let your mobo control your fan. Some fans come with multiple pre-set speeds, so I have several hooked up on the lowest speed directly the the PSU, and then some to the Mobo to kick in when it decides it needs more circulation.

Can anyone please tell me an e-mail for Acer's tech support? I'd like to get the latest bios changelog for a specific laptop. Acer Aspire 5750G.

What's the best antivirus program? What's the best comp-cleaning program?

Quick quesstion: Can I SLI a 680 and a 670? I know you can Xfire certain AMD cards that aren't the exact same card, so I'm just wondering. I'm not getting quite the performance I want for Tera in 2560x1440 with a single 680.
