Based on the official Police investigation, only the above players have been implicated in matchfixing. There is no reason to further accuse other players and teams until we get more information. Incessant blind accusations will not be tolerated. Please read the thread and the updates before posting. As of page 54 we will be moderating against match fixing accusations for players who were not caught in this incident, including those using voided Pinnacle bets as evidence. |

I've never said it before, but I am jumping aboard the dead game train. I don't really believe SC2 will survive for more than a few years max.
You're more than welcome to jump on any train you like, as far as I'm concerned, but I don't understand what this has to do with dead game. Very few people give a shit about Yoda, and nobody gives a shit about Prime. If anything, Proleague viewership might actually spike because Prime is going to be replaced by a quality team.
So far as I can make out, this is pretty close to an ideal outcome for SC2 - a harsh sentence for some easily ostracized, marginally relevant figures to keep everyone in line in the future.
Everything played into KeSPA's hands, almost as if they planned it this way from the start. #TinfoilHat

Well it took a looooooong while, but finally it's being dealt with. Good riddance Gerrard, YoDa and B4.
We knew this was going on but just stopped asking due to request of cummunity figures that said evidence was being gathered in the background. I'm thankful this was not a lie and something was being done indeed. Thanks again Olvia, TB, Pinaccle and others for speaking out and helping to put a stop to this.
It's sad new but I have this opinion.
To anybody saying we were just hurting the scene by talking about this and asking questions... well what about now?

Whoever didn't see such a thing coming is either naive or intentionally blind. So many people already told us the matchfixing was a "known secret" in Korea months and months ago.

Probably because last time this happened, it literally sucked the life out of the Brood War scene. This one doesn't seem as bad as before, but still it's hard not to be apprehensive about the future.

Everybody already knew that "the matchfix is real," unless you were living with blinders on. It would have been more appropriate to call 'dead game' at the start of 2015 when these allegations first came to light, because then we had no idea what the repercussions would be.
Now we have some idea, and considering all possible alternatives, so far we've gotten off very easy. The prognosis now is 'less dead game than 6 months ago.'

C'mon, bad reputation is still reputation and this looks like KeSPA is doing something to stop it happening. This is just publicity. it's not bad, it's not good(there are bad news in it and good news, so it's sorta balancing itself).

God damnit, this is just like the Saviour scandal all over again. What the hell is wrong with these people. Ban them for life and get on with it.

$4,400 to $17,000 USD?? I always thought that the match fixing everyone talked about couldn't be so bad since i did not see a world where the players could get enough out of it to make it worth their while. It's so sad to see that i was wrong.. Goodbye Prime, i will remember the good times. B4 and Yoda, Fucking hell mates it shouldn't have ended like this.

I almost never missed a major tourny from the beginning of sc2 until the last scandal happened(without mentioning names), and when I heard that this is apparently very common, I lost most of my interest very quickly. Hopefully this investigation will make a big difference so I could get excited for LOTV.

Also im glad shit is getting cleaned up. Prime always felt shady with Gerrard in charge, i have always disliked him and like Choya put, guy hasn't paid a salary in 4 years. Gets a sponsor and still has no money and doesn't seek proper help. Deserves everything he gets. you're 3rd generation you nub who are the generations anyway

I have to say I can't really be as angry at YoDa as I'd like to be. Caught on a shitty team during a career downturn with retirement imminent, no interest from sponsors or other teams, no salary paid out - I can see why he felt pressured into accepting betting money

I don't understand this. How does his shitty situation make it less infuriating? Of course nobody who is on a good team and makes enough money will ever risk doing something like this. People who do this will always be in a shitty situation. They still have to suck it up and stop the progaming dream and work at a mcdonals or anything to make a living, instead of fucking matchfixing which could potentially destroy the scene that has given them everything.
