Based on the official Police investigation, only the above players have been implicated in matchfixing. There is no reason to further accuse other players and teams until we get more information. Incessant blind accusations will not be tolerated. Please read the thread and the updates before posting. As of page 54 we will be moderating against match fixing accusations for players who were not caught in this incident, including those using voided Pinnacle bets as evidence. |

Can someone prevent a Lorning suicide please? I have to say I can't really be as angry at YoDa as I'd like to be. Caught on a shitty team during a career downturn with retirement imminent, no interest from sponsors or other teams, no salary paid out - I can see why he felt pressured into accepting betting money I don't understand this. How does his shitty situation make it less infuriating? Of course nobody who is on a good team and makes enough money will ever risk doing something like this. People who do this will always be in a shitty situation. They still have to suck it up and stop the progaming dream and work at a mcdonals or anything to make a living, instead of fucking matchfixing which could potentially destroy the scene that has given them everything. People do bad things. That doesn't make them bad people. (Gerrard sounds like a piece of work, though, but I'm sure that even he, from his perspective, was the good guy trying to do the right thing.)
Of course not. But I don't only get angry at bad people. And not all criminals are bad people. What's right by the law isn't always good, what's wrong by the law isn't always bad. But with the history of starcraft matchfixing in Korea and their involvement in the scene, this was the one crime that makes me extremely angry at them. They could've robbed a bank (without hurting anybody), I wouldn't care.

It is sad to see something like this happens over and over again although savior should have been a lesson for everyone.
Especially with StarCraft having a hard time atm, players retire, teams disband, SC2 losing so much attention and this feels like giving StarCraft the ultimate kill. I know many people are still watching SC2, me included ofc, but seriously who still wants to hire players, and esp. if things like these happen over and over again in the StarCraft scene.
Unfortunately these guys will never receive such a hard punishment like savior got.......

Wow.
I don't see MarineKing's name. I hope I won't have to see it soon. Better not see him play again than reading his name in a match-fixing scandal article.

We knew this was going on but just stopped asking due to request of cummunity figures that said evidence was being gathered in the background. I'm thankful this was not a lie and something was being done indeed. Thanks again Olvia, TB, Pinaccle and others for speaking out and helping to put a stop to this.
Were any of these particular games flagged up by Pinnacle?

I wonder if this has implications on the "legit" players' ability to find new teams. Creator was on Prime for so long, surely he knew, right? Then do I want him on my team?

Good question, not sure. I think the Pinnacle games were mostly Proleague games right? I will have to go back and check.
It could also be link to this?
I think there is so much stuff, that has yet to come out.

So the whole Pinnacle nonsense is useless in discovering the real problem? hahahaha

But this time, KeSPA has no hands over the SSL and GSL...

Ehm, that's punishment from KeSPA or from a court? Because I cannot believe some association can force you into probation and community service when it bans you for life

Plus it ruined his reputation and legend.
Anyway, still wondering if any KeSPA team actually wants a "legit" Prime player (KeeN or Creator) if they were in the know.

I watched a few of YoDa's VODs posted in the OP. None of them looks particularly suspicious.

So how much of Code S is actually believable?
