French viewers don't care for Twitch / Daily
Only the streamer usually care, because Dailymotion is willing to help a lot, and they also pay way better.

Really? Source please. No way France has more TL users than the US or Germany, so it's the 3rd at best.

USA 22.9% France 10,3% Sweden 5,8% Canada 5,5% Germany 5,4%
So yes, France > Germany by a huge margin.

What's the ESL drama everyone's talking about? Didn't follow that...
Edit: Oh right, something about ESL imposing Twitch and French broadcast wanting to use Dailymotion I guess.

Thank you, I remember now ^^.

Hmmm I always though Alexa was collecting data through their toolbar which is not accurate at all. I'll ask the "ask TL staff anything thread". Thanks for the reply though.

Starcraft may no long be cresting but it really does have a sort of quite strength, always in the top 3 - 6 of all twitch channels. Not as much player support, or casting for that matter, but the tournaments are getting solid viewership now that (I believe) we aren't over saturated with weekly tournaments.
Also, I'm very happy with the EU scene continuing to expand!

I would ask everyone who are complaining about it if their lives are perfect without single mistake or thing they are not proud of... I mean okay they had some problems with ESL so? Its a past and they are trying to bring fresh content for french ppl. You guys already forget how amazing was crowd at Nation Wars? (Hell I would love to see that in my country on some SC tourney)... It's great idea and I support that, also the idea that it would be in more languages in good and bad
1.) it would decrease number of viewers on main gsl stream (dead game Kappa spam inc...) 2.) less income from ads 3.) less chance to get subs
But, I'm not an expert so we will see how it willl go.

^ 1)people that watched the english stream won't switch to the french one. Because they know how poor the knowledge of french casters is and how good is Artosis one. You watch GSL for the highest level of play, so you need the highest level of commentary to understand it. French cast will just bring casual and non english speaker to watch the show. 2)a little income is still more than no income at all. 3)see 1).

I love O'Gaming as an organisation, but i have to say i really dont like their cast. I'm happy it will get more people getting into GSL, gotta love the constant involvment from O'Gaming in SC2.

It's probably a good news from OGTV, but the fact that they won't cast the games live is a huge drawback imo. Also, even if P&T cast all games without their usual parasites, the casting will still be worse than Tastosis.
I don't think it will bring so many viewers the experience lasts for more than one season.

I think the timezone will hurt them. A lot.

I think the re-broadcast is a good idea. Obviously the hardcore fans will watch it live, but I think most of the hardcore audience is used to watching it in english by now, and probably won't switch back to French. On the other hand, a re-broadcast allows the O'Gaming crew to get those who can't watch due to work/school, but are just too lazy to check up the VODs. I'm definitely one of those: I follow results live at work, but I don't bother firing up the VODs when I get home. But if I were to get home as the GSL is rebroadcast, I'd probably tune in for the groups with players I really want to see.
Plus, they still get all their usual audience (which I think is more casual players oriented). I'm quite curious to see how this will turn out !

WCS is a different world than GSL, gomtv/ Gomxp demise is the first clue
You re missing my point. I have the utmost respect for P&T and their production (al of O'Gaming actually). What I meant was that as casters (and just casters) Tastosis sound more professional. Because in the end, I only care about the match and the commentary, not whatever comes in between. I like good inputs, and a decent analysis.
For offline events, O'Gaming does an amazing job, I am not arguing that. In the end though, I don't think the target audience is the same.
As for twitch over DM, it's annoying for me as Twitch lags as hell, but GSL s already on twitch so I won't see any difference.. (yay for SPL on youtube!)
