During the whole WCS EU "drama" Millenium and O'Gaming did their best to try to to find a solution but ESL was clearly not interested into giving them the rights. The last proposition Millenium did to ESL was a player they created that would broadcast the games on Twitch but would switch into a Dailymotion player during advertising : it would fulfill the requirements asked by ESL to use Twitch and the necessity for french webtvs to use Dailymotion since Twitch doesn't generate as much revenues in France as in the rest of EU or US.
O'gaming is using this player here (or a player working the same way).

i thought most of the french fanbase prefers dailymotion.. so why streaming on twitch? they want to push the french fanbase, but with twitch..

I don't think they have the choice here : I believe GSL too has a deal with Twitch so they have to stream the games on it.

Well, in France, Twitch's revenue are not high enough to support the structure needed for a webTV. Only Dailymotion is providing enough money...No wonders if every french structure is streaming on dailymotion or exporting in any other countries (When Stephano was Millenium, he tried to stream while being out of France)
O'Gaming is offering us amazing content with home-made tournament such as Iron Squid and Nation Wars. In my opinion it is great that they try to expand their company and bring content of growing quality
Moreover, Pomf&Thud started from the bottom and became famous due to their youtube channel. So we can assume that their casting is not bad
We should cheer for them, they are bringing life to e-sports

He/She's probably referring to how O'Gaming threw a huge tantrum because they were not allowed to stream WCS on Dailymotion and now they accept streaming GSL on Twitch without a comment.

France should not be laughed at for trying to bring GSL to Europe. This is a fine effort from them and I hope it works out.

It s good for the casual audience I guess.
P&T are popular and fun to a point. Funka s great too! I don't like Anoss and the others, Moman is fun.
But overall it s not very professional in my opinion, esp. as opposed to Tastosis for instance. The best French caster imho is ToD, and he casts in English...
We'll see how it goes, but more languages can only be a good thing

as far as i know its not "money" but the rules, blizzard say "it must be twitcH" so rly nothing to do there otherwise

I would have liked better casters to take care of it, but a french stream of the best tournament of the planet can't be bad. Good luck !

Tastosis have been casting for 4 years in korea...they're just caster they dont run their own prod business with events also (i hope) maybe gomtv will ask for a cast with some standards.
I'm surprised to see them casting GSL Code A on twitch, tonight, more then one folks was ban on their chat for saying " but Coda A is over?" ^^ but u think casting old matchs on the same schedule as will be next Code S/A in order to start gathering an audience is a bad move from them?
WCS is a different world than GSL, gomtv/ Gomxp demise is the first clue

Fuck yeah. I love French and I love Starcraft. Allons-y !

Now TakeTV go and do it in German! Go!

Considering France is the 2nd most represented nationality on TL, that's probably the same, if not the biggest SC2 community of SC2. That's good I guess, but the fact that they stream it on Twitch is a huge joke.

Listened to the french cast this past weekend and I was very impressed. Enjoyable casting group for sure, grats to them.

To stream on twitch instead of DailyMotion, which would give them more revenue, is risky for them. That explains why they're not livestreaming ( as the matches would start at 3 AM ) but only restreaming at a more managable hour.

You guys are aware that NeoTV is in Charge of the Chinese Language broadcast and they are not streaming to twitch either, right?

Agree that ToD is probably the best French caster; has the best game knowledge by far since he's an actual serious player, and he has enough flair in his casting to not be boring to most players, even more casual ones (though maybe the most casual viewers would find him too analytic, I don't know). I enjoy his casting in both French and English...too bad he's only one man and can't do both all the time :p
That said, I'm still very happy with Pomf & Thud casting GSL.
