They're actually using Korhal City, Newkirk, Star Station? These maps fucking suck and are a disgrace to the game. The other maps, Whirlwind and Daybreak, are boring and old (albeit Whirlwind is more boring/imba than old). Blizzard shouldn't have incorporated them. And they're not using Cloud Kingdom? That's the only old map I'd like back... Seriously not impressed by this map pool. Ladder maps determine competition play, and these are not suited for competition. Get some real maps!

As long as we have an average balance of nearly 50% some small imbalances in favor of variety should definitely be accepted. Variety isn't the same as bad gameplay, don;t confuse the two. Desert, Scrap, Korhal, all are bad for gameplay.

I think you're somewhat wrong... ladder maps determine absolutely crap for competitive play, because the tournament map pools are remarkably slim on ladder maps. Unless they're maps that were added to the ladder AFTER being in competitive play. (Or, I guess, when WoL first came out.) Also, what's wrong with an in-base expansion? ![]()

I'm vetoing korhal city and star station so far. Didn't like those maps to begin with and games in the beta didn't convince me otherwise.

Always loved watching TvT on Whirlwind, so hopefully it's as fun to play also. Personally, I never really saw what the fuss is about with Cloud Kingdom, always seemed like a rather boring map to me, but I guess i'm in the minority there ![]()

Hard to get/keep a third, small, and the middle is just plain weird. But hey its made by Kespa, must be good huh? I'm vetoing korhal city and star station so far. Didn't like those maps to begin with and games in the beta didn't convince me otherwise. So you think Planet S is one of the worst maps ever...but you won't veto it?
