So what? It's still a bad news. It clearly shows that there are problems with SC2 right now.
Oh please stop with the sky is falling BS.
The house served it's purpose well enough, but it's not really needed any more. Most foreigners coming to korea are either staying for such a short time that they might as well stay at a hotel, or they are staying for a longer period and practicing and in that case the gomhouse is not really the best practice enviroment. Staying with a teamhouse in korea is the way to go with korean pros and coaches.
The gomhouse closing is nothing surprising, they never offered more than a roof over your head and crappy computers. It had potential but it was wasted by Gom. Sucks for khaldor/slog and the others living there =/

A lot of people would love to have both of those things, GOM was pretty generous to offer players a chance to stay there. In fact most people would have to work full time for it.

Do you even realise how entitled you sound right now? I don't mean to rage at you, but christ, how can you downplay a roof over your fucking head, and computers to use? >_>
If anything, the house was an extreme act of kindness that ultimately didn't pay off.

Sorry it wasn't perfect, princess.
Personally I think it's a remarkable thing that the Gom house stayed open this long. Well done, Gom.

It's not because they gave away this shit for free that they had to not take any responsibilities to make it work. They had no marketing/management in place after Torch left. There was no application form on their site for up and coming players to get a shot at going there so the house was 3/4 empty after march 2012. I'm grateful I had the opportunity to go I'm just disappointed by gom for not doing it right.

They give you a roof and computers to play on. Not the best, but its more than 99.9% of companies will ever do for you.

Find it a bit strange you are complaining about having a house and computers in Korea, when I seriously doubt you would have been able to arrange even the house by yourself. It was a generous offer by GOM, and you should be grateful enough for at least having a home.

I don't think anyone was there except Khaldor and naniwa, if I had to guess Khaldor could go to the fnatic house he goes there often to cast for them while naniwa can grovel to nestea for a place in the IM house as his eternal slave.
Nooooo, where is khaldor going to go?! I like khaldor and I'm actually surprised he's still in korea because I remember in the beginning he said he might stay for 1 season or 2 because he thought he would miss europe too much. Well, he's still there casting like a boss and I'm sure free rent was a nice perk of living in the gom house.
