Best thing we ever got out of that place was lastshadow getting his shit rocked by some fatty All of the worthwhile foreigners stayed in oGs house iirc edit: except wait did the foreigner world championship team stay there? Because white-ra stomping mc was one of my favorite moments in sc2. I'd take a complete guess that they opened it to try and attract more foreigners to compete, since more foreigners equals more foreign viewers. Most of those using it have been significantly below GSL quality though, and those who did frequent GSL like Huk and Naniwa stayed in team houses.

SortOf > NSH SaSe > StarTale LastShadow > MVP Fnatic was hosting a few foreigners in their own house. Liquid had their own house. SLoG got his own place afaik. The only people recently living there were NaNiwa (is he still in Korea?), MaNa and funkay. the latter two only stayed for a couple of months and are now back in Poland. The EG people probably live there from time to time after their partnership with SlayerS broke down, but I'm pretty sure they can partner up with any team they want.

Broodwar had like less than 10% of the events SC2 currently has running, and it stayed popular for 5-7 years like that. Things naturally end, and new things take their place. Having a single foreigner house shut down that is not even being used right now has nothing to do with SC2 taking a negative hit. Stop reading soo closely into things.

This isn't necessarily what he means. No need to start a game vs game debate.

As for people who are saying this is further signs of Doom and Gloom for SC2, they are kinda silly. Some things that made sense 2 years ago don’t make sense now. It is that simple. If no one is using the Gom House, why have it?
