I wasn't misinterpreting your opinion, instead I was asking you to develop your idea, which would bring you to the same point where I am. what about koreans who live in other cities? I guess there are none :D ![]()

Makes sense since GOM isn't really bringing over foreigners to compete for GSL and will continue supporting Kespa players before making accommodations for many foreigners. It is true that all top non-koreans go to team houses that are developed and are probably better for their training. GOM house was a early innovative thing they did and it helped globalize the scene a bit more but now its up to the community and blizzard to grow

Why is it problems with sc2? the game is the best rts out stop comparing us to moba, we will never be as big as a team game T.T people these days... maybe it should be better if sc2 was small but all the ones who were whining about that this game sucks should go away...

It was to give a place for non-Koreans to stay, but now most of the time when foreign teams want to send a player(s) to Korea they enter into a partnership with a Korea based team so their player can stay and train with them, ergo the GOM house becomes less necessary. Yeah it sucks for the couple of people staying there but if it's not getting used then it's not financially worthwhile to keep something going, the money can be better spent otherwise. Get a grip people.

I always thought this was strange as well; The GOM house made sense before when it was actually being used. Feels like it's become more or less a frat house now, not that surprised they are shutting it down.

This is just one example. Why should GOM pay the bill for a player like Desrow, who has no reasonable chance of ever qualifying or competing in GSL, so he can train and live there for free? The house rarely served its intended purpose, it's normal that they don't want to continue it.

To me, the GOM house sounds like a failure, and foreigners are better off going to a Korean team house. Except for, y'know, naniwa and mana.
