OGN and KeSPA are for all intents and purposes the same in this debacle.

I don't really have a problem with this. If this is what KESPA wants then that's fine by me (players too busy is a good reason not to participate imho), and I kinda like the idea even of having the players separated, only coming together in a few select events (like WCS Korea right now) which makes those events huge.
That's only if both GOM and KESPA can coexist though. I hope they can both succeed and work together for special events.

So when MC came out as the undertaker, he was not trying to bury the players but the tournament.

On the one hand I totally want to see Blizzard suffer for killing BW and not giving LAN to SC2. Everything that costs Blizzard money is fine for me. On the other hand I also want to see Kespa get punished for years of stubbornness so I really would like it if they finally gone one step too far with their evilness. I am not sure about GOM but I bet they also have a few skeletosn in their closet so screw them too and to arms everyone!
I guess for now I will just lean back and watch the shitstorm unfold and watch the company war like a game of BW. I have a nice sunbed here next to the tombstone of the game Broodwar, with popcorn, chips and fine ice tea ready. Will this cheesy Kespa rush work? Or will GOM just destroy the aggression and come out far ahead? Or will it be even and turn into a macro game? On a related note: Blizzard give us LAN you assholes.

I've read something on dailyesports, but my korean is not that good. There was an interview with an kespa reprensative and he said, that they don't participate because of proleauge (they're are busy preparing for the playoffs and the schedule doesn't fit). He didn't say they will not participate in the future. The reason why they participated at WCS and WCG Prelimination was because Blizzard asked and it didn't overlap with the preparation for Proleauge. I didn't read everything so somenone who is good in Korean can translate this

Gom played nice, like opening a 15 hatch to a protoss opponent in the hopes of getting along nicely for a nice macro game. But Kespa decided to 12 forge and proceed to pylon block then cannon rush Gom.

You people need to learn PL > OSL > other always has always will be . If Kespa deems that the players don't have enough time , being overwork or that other tournaments will harm the performance in those 2 tournaments they won't play anywhere else .

As if all teams participate in the Proleague playoffs...

What happened to the Blizzard Korea statement, that they were gonna announce today?

in BW yes, in SC2, no.
GSL does not fit into that equation at all

I still believe KeSPA is the better and more robust organization, they probably saw this coming and are ready for it. ESF is just full of drama.

It doesn't really make sense that ESF players can prepare for the upcoming GSL and play OSL at the same time, and god knows what foreign events, but KeSPA players can't play two tournaments at the same time. Hell, even the players want to play in GSL... If they think they're not too busy, I'd go with their opinion over KeSPA's.
If this is the attitude KeSPA's going to take, why would they even begin to participate actively within foreign events? Are they just not going to send players at all, if they have upcoming OSL matches to prepare for? Then I expect their players are just going to have less exposure than the ESF players, plain and simple, which is bad for them.

Organizing the players. Giving them salaries, finding sponsors. At least, from my understanding.

Been wishing that for a long time since it appears they really really don't like the iron grip kespa has. If they do it and with esf players rebelling, good lord this drama would be beautiful.

They can't rebel.

Ya, I have this same question too. KeSPA is clearly not working for the players. They aren't really working for the sponsors (at least some of them) by banning their players from GSL and not sending anyone over to MLG at all.
