Actual GM promotion requirements are are dynamic. The GM lines in MMR tool are just historical estimates what they were in past. To get in now, may require considerably higher MMR. Edit: Also worth noting that I may have set EU GM line little too low & US GM line little too high. These were set based on data from 1.5 to 2 weeks after season start (0.5 to 1 week of GM open) to roughly where masters & GM:s started mixing.

I actually don't believe its too low, or would you need to have higher MMR than top 50/top 100 gm to be promoted? Some of the gm players I meet barely have 2100, some have 2250+ but thats top 50+

Some of the gm players I meet barely have 2100, some have 2250+ but thats top 50+ GM entry is dynamic. E.g. if there are 200 spots available, they are reserved to top 200 MMR active non-gm:s (or MMR moving average if it is used for GM promotions, but to simplify I talk only MMR in this post). If there is 1 spot available, it is reserved to the active non-GM player who has highest MMR at that point. Once you get in GM you will not be demoted, unless your unspent bonus points rise over 180 (1 week worth of bonus points). Thus many GM players have actually lower MMR than many master players --> their MMR has dropped since / some master players have risen regarding MMR or were not active when GM opened. To get in GM is usually easiest just when GM opens. To get in during the season sometimes requires MMR that is close to very top of that server (e.g. Lalush posted here last season or season before about having problems reaching GM. At that point he actually had much higher MMR than average GM players back then, but I guess there was some non-gm:s at that point who had even higher. He got back to GM some time later).

The MMR values only get archived when Blizzard changes the league offsets. Otherwise, your MMR carries over from the previous season.

I reset my account back to platinum a little before the start of this season, and you could see at the beginning of the season where I was rising through the ranks of diamond. A little past halfway is where the new tool update came out and this is also around the time where I was promoted into Master''s. I've had a lot more time to play recently, so with this many games, I figured it should have corrected itself by now, but it's still showing me as mid-Diamond. I'm a 600 point Master league player. + Show Spoiler + Division ranks do not mean anything. With quick look of your data from your last match, you indeed seem to be a master player who has a diamond range MMR. Your adjusted points in the end of your last match were -98. When people are promoted they have 73 adjusted points. Heavily generalizing this usually can be translated "you are somewhere near the border when you have 73 adjusted points (ignoring the start of the season when too few games played)". Blizzard does not demote players anymore in the middle of the season (only via placements matches). Also worth noting is that Blizzard's matchmaker seems to prefer to match players primarily with players from their league (with similar MMR) and secondarily from other leagues (with similar MMR). Thus it is not obvious when you approach the league border or go under by observing your opponent's league.

Does this mean that after you've gone through your placement matches it is impossible for you to be demoted? Or, is it that after some time once the season has started demotions no longer occur? Also just wanted to say thank you for this incredible tool and all of the hard work you and InfCereal have put into updating it~~

At the time of this posting, that game is the only time you can be demoted.

Is there anything I can do to fix this or do I have to wait for further updates? + Show Spoiler + Thanks again Everything seems fine regarding your graph. You are a diamond player who is in high platinum range. In that range due to capping rules your MMR can only be calculated from uncapped platinum or lower opponents (diamond & master opponents are usually all capped in that MMR range). Please read this post to learn who are usually capped: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=334561¤tpage=153#3055 Thankfully you have had lots of opponents from lower leagues who are uncapped. Thus the tool has been able to calculate your MMR quite often. But if your MMR would be just over the diamond line, then such opponents would be much more rare. This is also the reason why some, who have enabled the memory reader, get results ('good games') very seldom. If they are stable in the lower MMR range of some league then their opponents are usually from same or higher league and are all capped. MMR cannot be calculated from capped opponents.
