Big deal, patch is coming out before those tournaments...It makes both the aena and assembly more interesting imo. I'm curious if any tosses will try the new phoenix upgrade and if ghosts still work vs brood/infestor. People always look to complain.

Yea.. wtf? As soon as we saw a button on the ghost that read: Fuck over protoss units over a wide area you bet your ballsacks we used 'em since day 1 (assuming we survived all the range 7 voidrays, 40 second warpgate timings, 8 damage sentries and Desert fucking Oasis).

It just gets tricky using ghosts because emp doesn't beat colossus. It's counterproductive actually. Also ghosts are expensive and blah blah blah TERRAN!

I might dabble with random raven/seeker missile transitions in TvZ but I'm not hopeful mostly because it takes fucking forever to make ravens and for them to get the required energy. Ghosts start sniping the second they come out of the 6 raxes I had premade for them.

Problem with going ravens vs broodlords is
1) Outranged by fungal
2) You kill 6 broodlords, zerg sees you have 10 ravens, laughs and makes ultras and you die instantly
3) You kill 6 broodlords, zerg sees you have 5 ravens and they have no mana now, zerg laughs and makes 6 new broodlords.

What you say sounds true but I've seen Demuslim use ravens against broodlords successfully on his stream. He does it when playing mech (so there's very low chance of ultras showing up) and he tends to SM away a ton of broods then quickly follow through to take the game.

Then again he is british. High likelihood he is a wizard.

The thing with ravens are, they are useless after they have depleted their energy. If seeker missiles were as strong as fungal I could accept it but now it kind of feels like they need some kind of combat attack or maybe morph two into a Mega-raven, kind of like HTs turn into Archons, which has the same damage output as Archons but only against air.

Would be nice.

Yep, late game with mech ravens are broken =p

Ive used ravens a lot with bio and its always the same story of rape 1 wave of broods, ultra switch destroys you because you have 20 food worth of flying garbage cans.

I'm not really surprised they're releasing it when they are considering there is a tournament pretty much every other week now. It was bound to interfere with some tournament. As a Terran this patch is going to be annoying, but I'm sure we'll survive it.

seeker missile is great on paper but absolutely awful in practice... if zerg attacks with broodlords on 16-20 minutes, what are you going to do? delay for 5 minutes to get your ravens out then delay for another 5 minutes to get enough energy for seeker missile?? hahahhahhahahahahahahahaahah!!!!

spamming auto-turret and PDD is pretty nice, but doesn't do anything against broodlord/ultra... seeker missile is basically fungal growth except it costs 125 energy.

Difference is that T3 can't outrun a Seeker Missile and you can throw infinite numbers on the same target and the damage stacks ontop of eachother and the AoE is bigger. You need T3 to deal with terran in the late game, even if it's just marines with siege tanks, you need either ultras or brood lords to beat it. So can everyone try to think from zerg's perspective abit here because if our T3 isn't viable what do we do to beat terran?

People that say that fungal outrange raven etc.. Then fine, infestors arn't viable versus terran because tanks outrange them and EMP have the same range except you only need to use it once on each target.

Watch nestea lose to gumiho a few seasons ago. It's not about using HSM to kill BLs, its about using PDD to make sure the Z army can't touch yours and evaporates, and the same happens with the remax and then you win.
