The final week of April gave us a more diverse range of cup winners than usual, with Astrea and ByuN joining herO and MaxPax at the top of the podium.

April 28: WardiTV Mondays #33

The week began with both herO and Clem skipping the Monday cup trio, which automatically made remaining trinity member MaxPax the favorite to win. However, we actually saw someone succeed at the 'beat MaxPax challenge' for once, as
ByuN put in an impressive TvP performance to take down the mysterious Dane in the 3-1 finals. After getting his first point on the board with methodical Liberator play in the late-game, ByuN sealed his victory with a pair of two-base pushes MaxPax was powerless to stop. VOD.*****
April 28: Monday Night Weeklies #15

MaxPax made up for his earlier misstep in Monday Night Weeklies, taking his first cup win of the week with a perfect, lossless run. Although MaxPax's PvP had looked uncharacteristically shaky in April, this time the mirror master lived up to his reputation by taking down Gerald and Classic in the final two rounds.VOD. As for ByuN, he couldn't recreate the strong TvP performances that saw him beat MaxPax just a few hours earlier, as he was eliminated with losses to Gerald and ShoWTimE.*****
April 28: PiGosaur Cup #29

For the second week in a row, the PiGosaur Cup was a Clem-herO-MaxPax free zone, giving the rest of the StarCraft II field a fair chance at the prize money. Last week, Cure capitalized on the opportunity with a cheesy title run. This time around, it was
Astrea who took the first place prize. Astrea didn't look rusty at all despite having taken a few months off from tournaments, and he showcased some strong, solid macro play to defeat Cure and SHIN in the last two rounds of the bracket VOD). *****
May 3: Korean StarCraft League #74

The biweekly KSL returned for its 74th cup event, which saw
herO make a mid-week appearance to make sure he didn't go winless on the week. herO took care of business in clinical fashion, not dropping a single map on his way to victory (VOD).*****
April 30: Kung Fu Cup 2025 #10 - StarCraft Evolution Mod

In SC: Evolution news,
Dark took a second straight win in the Kung Fu Cup, once again defeating ByuN in the finals. Just as in the previous week, Dark gave his opponent a sporting chance by picking random, and was fortunate to draw his main race of Zerg twice. Still, ByuN did not do himself any favors, as he lost an all-BW TvT due to his odd decision to play bio against mech (VOD (Korean)). The cup also saw MaxPax make a surprise appearance, though we barely got to see anything from him before he was all-in'd out of the tournament by both the SC2 and BW versions of Dark's Zerg.
