Qualifiers for '2025 GSL Season 2' will be held on May 18th(Sun)
Details are as below.
■ Participation requirements
- Must be at least 12 years old
- Need to have a SC2 Battle.net account (cannot use your family's or friends' accounts)
- Masters/Grandmaster league players (Any Region)
■ Qualifiers information
- GSL Qualifiers application period: ~ May 15th(Thu) 23:59 [KST]
- GSL Qualifiers: May 18th(Sun) [KST]
- GSL Qualifiers location: online
- Only players who are in Korea are available to participate in GSL Qualifiers.
- Match schedule for each individual will be sent out via MMS & e-mail to each participant on May 16th(Fri)
■ GSL Qualifiers match format
- Best of 3 / Double Elimination format
- 12 players will advance
-Top 4 players from the qualifiers advance directly to the Round of 8, and the next 8 players (excluding the top 4) advance to the Round of 12.
- Maps: TBD

In terms of delta from Season 1:
Z: -Reynor, +SHIN
T: +Bunny
P: -Trigger, -NightMare, -SoS, +Creator, +Zoun
I like the roster a tiny bit better for S2. Sad to be missing NightMare though... dude seems like he's always on the cusp. Hopefully some of the guys who have been perennial Ro8 finishers can amp it up and do well.

Interesting that trigger and Reynor leaving makes it so that it goes back to being a situation where everyone who 'should' qualify makes it in.

the "shoulds" are really debateable. If should means you would expect than last season had that already. it's moreso the "maybes" who are making it in this season. For instance, you consider the players who didnt make it last season but this season as shoulds i.e., Bunny, Creator, Shin? I think they are the same amount of "should" as lets say Nightmare and DRG who didn't make it last season.
