Even though it was seldom used, Snipe could be used to kill workers and marines (for example), which was pretty cool. Why nerf that use of it as well? | ||

Every terran and zerg in GSL that gave interview they said playing vs protoss is super hard and that protoss should always win in PvZ and the only strat that worked for Z gets nerfed? More and more terran players keep quiting their race and this will not help it at all, I agree with mule nerf, but if you already want to nerf ghosts can you give us less useless raven abilities or something to deal with broodlords? For ultras you can make marauders, emp infestors and kite. This isnt rage post, its a whine post and when terran is in worst shape since start of the game they nerf the only unit that could keep terran late game alive vs other 2 races with already having terrible macro abilities (larva/warpgates). | ||

Terran is already the least represented race in EU and NA past Gold league. In the same patch they've made Terran harder to play late game while making Protoss phoenix micro easier. The general consensus is that Terran is already the most demanding race to play with imperfect mechanics, is it ridiculous to ask the same level of commitment from everyone? Balance should be done for the pro-level, but its ridiculous to see 60 apm Protosses in masters and claim that they're equally as mechanically taxing. The only people saying that its great that the snipe change adds more micro are the non-Terrans who don't already have play faster than other people they face daily. Not to mention so far snipe is the only solution (as gimmicky as it may feel) to mass chargelots. My only hope is that Blizzard put out these notes so when they bring out the real numbers people are content because they're not AS bad. More of a PR move kind of thing. Otherwise, its off to 'Toss for me. | ||

Snipe well okay, but atleast they should have kept it 30 against banes >.< . Don't expect this change to stay in though once we see games with transfuse. one transfuse 50 energy from a queen now blocks 7 ghost snipes on non caster units. So a queen with 200 energy can fend of 28 snipes which is 700 ghost energy. 3,5 ghosts blocked by a 150 mineral unit nice can't wait to see that. Maybe they change the transfuse range, so a terran could emp/snipe the queens. And omg phoenix buff ! First the immortal now the phoenix. These units where fine before just needed some micro, now they will just rip everything. I mean i had no problem against mutas before ... lost one or 2 phoenix if i was sloppy against muta harass, and in an all out battle mutas died in seconds to the phoenix, now the phoenix will even win the big muta ball fights with ease. But i like the change anyway now i can magic box my phoenix into broodlord infestor spine armys and still do maximum damage, while fungal only affects 1 or 2. Overall not the usual thought out blizzard quality patches, guess they are busy with different thing. To bad i always liked to fight off mutas as toss. PS: the change being on fleetbeacon is fairly simple, encourage carrier and ms use as a side effect. And it can't be lower tech because range 6 phoenix would ruin alot of terran play (they rip the raven for example and you couldn't protect it early game against range 6 phoenix). Also the only problem for lower toss players is mass mutas and it is no problem at all to throw in a fleet beacon before the zerg has mass mutas, that then could be fought off by half the army cost in phoenix, without any losses to the phoenix. | ||
