This patch is going to cause a shitstorm among the Terran players on TL if it goes through in it's current state D:

I feel like snipe nerf probably won't pass completely in it's current state, probably will only be nerfed by a smaller amount, which I think is justified.

Wow, these patch notes look fucking AWESOME

Mule's finally getting fixed, Snipe finally not gonna break lategame ZvT, and Pheonix might actually counter mutas in the way they're intended to. So fucking happy with this

Edit: APM change also much appreciated

Yeah... TvZ lategame will be pretty impossible without being able to snipe the corruptors :/ Vikings just don't deal with them.

you have to have utter flawless micro vs mutas, if you mess up once, that big muta ball fires 1 volley and kills most of your phoenix

that was my point. you had to have good micro to use phoenixes. now it'll just be easy

I'm pretty sure he's arguing against your "it won't make a difference" point. Your reasoning being that it's theoretically possible to micro phenoix against muta is not really valid since people are not able to do that.

Pretty half assed change with the mule. Don't like the snipe change either, though it's a bit better than previously. Looks like Blizz is bashing the puzzle pieces into place again.

By the time that upgrade is out it should be trivial to deal with, at least defensively. Not like their attack range is an issue for terran, and infestors will shut them down just as easily as before.

I like the phoenix upgrade on the Fleet Beacon, it makes the option to transition to Carriers more appealing since you already have the building and I think they definitely had that in mind. Still wish they changed the way it micros though, interceptors returning after a unit is killed if the carrier moves at all is silly. Making Phoenix's deal with Mutas better also eliminates the need for the AoE Tempest, so maybe they won't remove Carrier's after all. Either way I'd love to see a lot more Protoss air games.

Not too sure about the Ghost change and I don't know how the Mule change will affect things but I guess we'll see. It's also great they brought back APM due to feedback.

My battlecruisers aren't imposing at all, neither are carriers, shouldn't zergs be punished for let toss and terran get to tier 3?

Did you read the reasons for the nerf? Currently, massing ghosts is too powerful in the lategame. They don't want one unit being able to really well vs all late game zerg units.


It's is only viable option for terran in late game vs zerg now. If you take that away then how terran will do late game?
