Starcraft 2 is only a year old, and chances are most players who are old enough to compete professionally were around to at least play Brood War. We're already starting to see SOME SC2 players of immense skill come from non-RTS backgrounds, such as Leenock, Stephano, and the other younger players in the scene. Give it another year, two, maybe even three and we'll start to see more and more young talent that pick up the game without having played Brood War, I guarantee it. | ||

You might want to check up on Stephano he got a 70% win ratio vs Koreans and just won 2 major international tournament Against some of the worst koreans, yes. He dodged all the Code S koreans at IPL 3 except for aLive (who 2-0'd him) and the only notable players he was against in ESWC was Mana (whose PvZ is by far his worst match-up) and MKP who played some awful builds and died to stephano playing as standard as it gets. | ||
